Re: Pay to win is coming, kids.

Let's be clear, rank IS pointless. However, that does not mean your rank is meaningless. By all means, get max rank with 0 skip stars, get it by skip stars, buy it. The only person who gets value or enjoyment from your rank is you. Nobody ever has or ever will care what your rank is, nor should you care about theirs.

I repeat, ever since skip stars become their current rarity rank lost all of it's value. Rubberbanding a control stick for 2 weeks and buying coins are the same thing, both take 0 effort and require skip stars. (and yes players did do that before buying coins was announced, I caught several who stood at spawn and ran in circles only to get end game bonuses)

It's fine to take pride in your rank, but don't expect others to acknowledge it.

Why did rank lose all of it's value, because of the skip star challenges? Am I the only one here that's totally unlucky with the packs these days? I obtain a 20k pack and all I get is 10% 1 star, 20% 2 stars, 35% 3 stars, 25% 5 stars, 5% 7 stars, or 5% 10 stars most of the time. Is this suppose to happen?

Also, anyone know what the real prices for coins are at this point?

I think it was 200,000 coins for $9.99 or something like that.

Wow just looked at it as well and am very happy that it's that high.

Feel sorry for the kids that can't pay to make their way to max level just to "show off" and the adults that are going to pay roughly $500 on this game as well. Remember, there are and always will be people that care for rank and will be happy to pay $500+ for it.

I've enjoyed earning my 233, don't really care how many people buy rank though.

The short version is, for natural progession before they increased the rate a level 20 might see 5-10 skip stars. After the update it is closer to 200. (Not exact but nearly so based on the total number of stars I have.)  This is simply turning coins earned in a match (In my case doing challenges) into skip stars. At the end of the day it is almost guarenteed to be faster to ignore challenges completely and focus solely on coin earning. Use those coins to buy packs and get skip stars then just use the skip stars instead. Now is especially bad with coin payouts at an all time high.  As stated a player can rubberband the control stick in a circle and earn enough coins for a decent amount of skip stars.

Would a player solely rely on skip stars? Unlikely, but if doing challenges to skip stars is nearly 1:1, 2:1 if I am really nice, it means players are doing half to 1/3 the work they needed before the update.

Also, those percentages are low. I see 7-10 nearly every other pack.
