Re: Pay to win

Without character varients it's going to be a little harder to make this really p2w. "Pay 2 Collect" maybe? In GW2 there was some p2w with varients that could be bought, though as far as I know, some of the game breakers (looking at you Computer Scientist and Toxic Brains) were never available for direct purchase. I guess it's all in how you define p2w though, you could buy coins until you had every OP character so that's kinda p2w. No elements in BfN really fit that sort of model. Nothing potentially buyable gives you that power edge over someone that doesn't pay extra (so far).

I think they are going down the Fortnite route for MTX so it will be all cosmetics, Limited time and you buy to look cool

(Personal opinions pending) No advantages either as far as I'm aware no new abilities either but things could change...

I never felt that GW2 was pay to win as by the time they added the packs to get computer scientist and toxic brainz (among others), they were already all over the place and everyone I knew already had them (myself included). Pay for convenience maybe?

Whats crazy is I have played GW2 since release and to this day I haven't unlocked toxic brainz or computer scientist. It was killing me early on for a while because I had gotten all the other supers and was just grinding hoping to finally open up a pack with toxic brainz but nope never played him, I still have hope one day I might get him. I had to edit to clarify that I do have a piece of computer scientist.
