Re: [PC] Plants vz Zombies - "We could not activate on this computer"

Hello, the solution to this problem is as follows:
Because your Plants vs zombies were activated on Origin and cannot be used on EA, you need to delete the original license file, which is "C: \ ProgramData \ Electronic Arts \ EA Services \ License \ 71592. dlf". Delete the file and then download the game again to solve the problem.

Specific steps:
1. Uninstall plant vs. zombies
2. Delete "C: \ ProgramData \ Electronic Arts \ EA Services \ License \ 71592. dlf", copy and paste the address into the file manager to open the path.
3. Download and install Plant vs. Zombies again

@Kharthos When you installed on the new system, did it populate the same license folder?

No, the folder dont even exist on the new System. I freshly installed EA App and PvZ on this Device.

@Kharthos When you deleted the file in the license folder, did you delete all of them or just that one single file? Were there more files in that folder?

On the new system, do you have more than one drive installed? With this game, it should install that license folder if it is installed through the EA app, so that could be an issue with the game linked to the account.

I deleted the 71592.dlf File. Yes there were about 8 files in the folder. What do you mean with multiple drives? I got only drive C on the other System.

@Kharthos A lot of players have more than one hard drive, most have a normal HDD and an SSD for their OS. if you only have one, that is okay just want to make sure that you don't have two as some will install the game on a different drive than the EA app which is why they may not see certain files or folders as they are in a separate place.

If you have more files in there just delete them all.

@Kharthos When you deleted the license files, do you have the option to view hidden files and folders enabled? Deleting those files is one of the only real workarounds we can offer before you go to support.

If that option is not enabled please do so and delete the files listed.

If that does not work, you would need to reach out to support so that they can look at the account.

Yep, hidden files were shown. I already had contact with the support 🙂 They told me to search in the forum 😞|

@Kharthos I'm doing more searches on this but currently, either changing the language or deleting all of the license files is the only real workaround with this game.

That one error affects more than this game too. Even non-EA titles so I'm taking a look at those games and steps as well.
