Respawning has fixed it a few times, but not every time.
So far, going back to Giddy Park has fixed it every time.
If you would like to attempt to have the issue permanently fixed, you could try uninstalling and reinstalling your game (you do not lose progress - the data is stored on the game’s servers), you could even try to get the other player to join into the region after you have entered. If still not working, you could get the other player to disjoin (while in the region) and then rejoin. Those are some options you could try, however I do not guarantee they will work!
Otherwise, continue using this workaround. Do it immediately after you enter the region to make it quicker.
