This is incorrect, you are unable to play offline. An internet connection and an Xbox Gold account are always required in order to play Plants Vs. Zombies Garden Warfare.

For Garden Ops, you will be connecting directly to other users or hosting a game yourself online.

In order to play as Zombies, select 'Multiplayer' from the main menu. Once you've selected a game type and joined the game, you're able to switch teams if space is available and teams are even.

    You are right, I apologize. I was thinking of the Xbox One Co-Op mode.

    Gold is required even for Xbox One co-op splitscreen as it hits the server to give you coins.

    Thank you for highlighting this, 

    I am more of a playstation person and owner of  megadrive and playstation 1,2,3,4 .

    More recently I've got interested in the xbox 360 slim along with building my game collection, 

    Must say I am impressed with the xbox 360s and controller, 

    Anyway enough of my ramblings, 

    I was about to buy

    PLANTS VS ZOMBIES, 

    GARDEN WARFARE XBOX 360S GAME 

    And sadly I only have the xbox live and not the xbox gold,

    It seems without the XBOX GOLD 

    You can't play any multiplayer gaming, 

    Shame because I am a avid sim racer even on the pc,

    Anyway thanks for putting the information up,

    I don't know if anyone has noticed, 

    But currently the fastest growing games are for the xbox 360 .

    Typical 😆
