It would have been reset to Feb 24th.

Sounds a lot like everyone else that's been posting, and you're just feeling the effects of what you didn't actually have unlocked, seeing it relocked due to end of the event.

Over the past week characters were not unlockable. Are you saying that you've lost characters that you've had longer than a week?

    i was at least rank 25 , and roughly 6hrs ago my console did an auto update and i lost ranks and plants etc , some that i have had longer than a week.

    The only way I can see ranks actually being lost is skipping challenge during a Garden Ops game and leaving before hitting a save point.
