Re: Please allow us to bank 4,000 tickets.

I disagree with the idea of banking tickets. The way it currently works, makes the player play the game every day if they want to get those event cards for free. They go online and play a few matches, complete their quest and watch some ads while they at it.

Why I disagree is: If it was allowed to bank tickets, players will no longer have to login every day. They can just forget about the game for a day. Which means they won't go online, play matches, complete quest and what might be possible the important reason of all; they won't watch their ads on which the game makes money off of.

Sure, there will be people that still play it for the gems but the amount of people will be drastically lowered. Heck, there might even be people complaining that the game doesn't offer enough free gems while they aren't playing themselves, BECAUSE the game allowed them to forget and take a day off. If it wasn't for the event cards I wasn't playing the game every day and I wouldn't have gained those free gems from quests and ads which I used for Galactic Gardens packs.

The idea of earning tickets when you lose is a bad idea and will be abused. You can just concede or disconnect the first turn when you start the battle and repeat.

Increasing the tickets isn't necessary either as you can currently easily earn all four copies just by playing and if needed spend your earned gems towards boosts or flat out buying the cards. Just like a few people mentioned already.

    The problem is not everyone has the time to play this game every single day. Sure login and grab the free gems, burn the daily event and then log out. Your reasoning isolates a very marginal and select group of people that would do what you are saying.
    And, as stated previously... to bank the tickets one still has to play...
    essentially the idea would work like this: we are allowed to bank only 2 cards worth of tickets... if you think about that, that actually inflate the server population. Because everyone's banking tickets.... and not everyone would be doing their playing at the same time... so therefore, it increases population, not decreases.
    You log in, you burn your two tickets worth and grab two of the event cards... still have to refill the bank if you want that convenience next week, so you still are playing the same number of games every week, if not more....
    Why would anyone concede a match as you are saying? I just don't see that. Because, if I don't refill... I cannot have the convenience for the next week.
    It's a fantastic idea, that doesn't negatively impact the game, actually... it enhances the experience because allows us to schedule our play based on our schedules.

    This is just food for thought... What about the players who do play every day? Those who are dedicated, and trying to get ahead by playing? Should they not be rewarded? Should they not get more stuff than those who choose to spend their time doing other things?

    But when do people have time to bank tickets? I think that would be during the weekends. But they can't bank tickets if they haven't collected all four event cards that week and like you said: not everyone has time to play the game every day. This means you've to collect them within 4-5 days and let me tell you this; for me it takes at least 6 days to collect all four and I've enough time to play every time my boost is ready.

    But lets say you collected all four copies before Saturday and you start grinding tickets, I do believe the population will rise during the weekends, like you said. But what will players do when they've little time on other days to play PvZ Heroes and already have the max. amount of tickets in the bank? They don't have to play the game and can skip a day or more which decreases the population drastically, which is what I meant when I mentioned in my previous post.

    The game wants the amount of players to be evenly spread throughout  the week so you can easily find a match. If the game allows people to follow their own schedule, then that would make a disbalance in the matchmaking, which already takes a very long time sometimes.

    This is why it is important that we keep things balanced and why I disagree with your idea. What I mentioned about conceding or disconnecting on purpose was about receiving tickets when you lose, I think you misunderstood that bit.

    But still, if you've enough time to get the tickets before the weekends, do you really need a banking system? And if you can't, then you won't be able to get them before the weekend and you won't be able to grind for tickets to bank.

    You would be rewarded. If you play every day you are banking your tickets faster than everyone else. That means that at your convenience, and for your convenience; you get to choose where and when you would spend your bank and knock out two event cards. Then, since you are playing everyday, you fill up your bank again faster. Also, it helps the community, and the game as a whole, because you are playing even more often... so increased population=faster queue times.

    A very interesting point Islar74. Let me attempt to sell you:

    After you have acquired your 4 cards for the week, let's say you did it in 5-6 days. This allows for 1-2 days to bank tickets for that week. Now let's also assume that you don't have a lot of free time like you said:

    After you have acquired your cards, there are still ways to bank tickets. The easiest way would be the plant and zombie missions, if you haven't already completed them... if you have then this idea would require the developers to do 2 easy alterations:

    1. After all 4 cards are acquired on the account, still allow the acquisition of tickets.
    2. Start the bank cap the bank at 2,400 tickets.
    It's an easy fix: all they have to do is that. Now in the event that say, you were to burn your bank at the onset of the event card week to grab 2 right at the get-go then the bank wouldn't be enabled until you have acquired your last 2 cards...

    And this, again HELPS not just the players, but the developers:

    HOW:

    When you have your 4-cards you still have to fill your bank... not only does it get more people playing more often at different times: BUT you would still be able to pay your 20 gems to refill the boost to fill your bank faster. That's added income to the developers!!! Or at least the slugging off of the additional ad-watching gems...

    When you sit down and really think about this idea, it helps everyone.
    It helps the hardcore players because they acquire their event cards faster than anyone else.
    It helps the time-crunched players that really want to play but some weeks they have a lot more time than others.
    It helps EVERYONE by throwing more players into the population at different times.
    And lastly:
    It helps the developers because the servers are more populated, and people are going to spend 20-gems here and there to get a quick 150 tickets in their banks.

    So... They get tickets faster? Why do they care about banking tickets? They're playing every day. I mean, if you want to be able to take a week off from playing and still get your cards, do you feel it's fair that them playing every day only lets them bank a currency they're not likely to use faster? That's kind of trivializing what they do for the game. "You maxed the currency bank you'll never use because play every day! You took the week off and got all the event cards!" Nope, that doesn't seem fair... Not much incentive for them to play every day, is there?

    There comes a point where you have to understand that they should and will have more cards (rewards worth playing for) than you, unless you choose to pay to keep up.

    Do you know someone who doesn't benefit from this idea? Me.  If I want all four copies of an event card without spending gems ('cause I can't watch ads to get them for free, so those shinies are really precious to me), then I must win at least 3 multiplayer games every day (though not consecutively as I have to wait for a four-hour refresh on the booster), complete all seven challenge missions, and then win three more multiplayer games with boost or gather a smattering of tickets as I complete quests.

    And I think that @Clarent1975's idea is fantastic for those who can use it.

    First, despite the post's title, the proposed banked amount has been dropped to 2400 tickets, two event cards.  You don't get the two event cards for free as you must still earn them.  Want to get next week's event cards as quickly as possible?  Play hard this week to bank those tickets!  (I'd also like to suggest that banked tickets are immediately applied to a new week's event card... can't skip out of any less than stellar cards. 😉)

    @Islar74 raises an excellent point on whether banking would impact the number of players in the multiplayer arena.  The most telling statistic would be how much people keep playing multiplayer even after they've accumulated all four event cards.  Certainly people were playing multiplayer regularly before tickets were introduced, so I'm sure that it's not everyone's only incentive for friendly online play.

    That's a very interesting way of looking at this. "should have more than" ...

    I don't know, what if an everyday player doesn't win as often as they should? You see what I mean there? Meaning: what if an everyday player isn't consistently putting the wins in? Should that elite player still have more than anyone else? In terms of event cards?
    Wouldn't everyone say no they should go make better decks and win?
    Aphid, you can't watch ads for gems? That's weird! Is that a regional thing?
    Also it is your bank, you should be allowed to spend it as you choose. Automatically applying it wouldn't be you choosing.
    For me personally it wouldn't matter because I want 4 of every card. I'm of the belief that every card is good in the right situation.
    Daalni, I'm in no way trying to negate in any way those hardcore players that log in everyday and are committed to this game.
    What I'm saying is this idea allows for flexibility... with our time. We would all still be putting in the work here.
    Let's say player- X is having a bad week... dog died, wife in the hospital, tornado blew the roof off...
    here are currently that person's options:
    1. FIND TIME in that mess of his personal life to keep logging in and playing.
    2. Drop the $20
    All my idea is, is adding a third option for further flexibility...

    WHAT IF a person can make half of the time and WANTS to play? Well if Player-x doesn't have the cash because of said catastrophes, or doesn't want to spend it, this is a very viable solution that doesn't "hurt" anyone.
    Let's also assume that he had played a ton the week prior to earn the extra tickets...
    His bad week hits he now has this solution:
    Burn his tickets and grab 2 cards, he still logs in for the other 2... and then his decision becomes: do I let it go until next week , or do I bust butt and refill this week?

    This option doesn't negatively impact anyone.
    It only impacts Player-X

    The bank affords a flexibility for the PLAYER.

    The side benefits were as mentioned:
    1. More people playing at different times, and the only way this wouldn't be the case would be the scenario I mentioned: burn the bank and then don't refill that week... but then the following week SURGES the population of players, but since this wouldn't be happening at the same time for every player, it is balanced.
    2. We have another option
    3. Increases gem spending
    4. It helps the hardcore acquire their cards faster. And IT DOES. If you are playing more often, you are earning more tickets (if you are winning, of course). Additional scenario for the hardcore: you log in , burn your tickets and you have 2 copies of the card for your deck right at the beginning of the week!!! Dual copies of a card can let you test new decks, show off that you have them already, and you get to play with them earlier than the many who might not have filled their banks.

    Personally, I think this is a fantastic idea the more I think about it...

    But, as it is my idea, truly; I am biased...

    If you are going to try an emulator, I suggest Nox. Most are very poorly coded and inefficient. Nox is less bad than the others I've tried.

    i could never figure out Nox and had major issues with it.

    on topic : i would only be ok with OP's suggestion of banking tickets if we could also earn more than 4 copies of a card during the week. (so for those who play a lot, we could earn&recycle extra event cards)

    Look, i get you want flexibility withh your time. I do too. I'm running a business and just got the switch a few weeks back... I haven't played this game in a while. That being said, i don't feel i deserve the same cards as players who have put the time in to earn them, So i pay for them. I also believe in paying because i like the devs. I want to support them and let them know their game brings me joy.

    This game is far more fair about free stuff than any other popular card game. Don't let your bias blond you to these two facts is all I'm asking: 1. Devs need money to support this game and their lives. 2. This game is more fair than most card games about doling out cards for free.

    Remember when the first event card cost was 2000 tickets?  I think they've done a fair job of balancing for the casual crowd (of which I'm a part of).  You always have the option to buy plants with gems too during the Event.  Not ideal, but it's an option.

    Well, I look at it as a win win win.
    Devs still win. Peeps still need to refill their banks. Still gonna spend gems to do that faster. And all of the other reasons I mentioned.

    ALSO, NOONE is getting ANYTHING additionally for free with this idea. In order to use the bank, you'd first have to fill it. Which means that you would be playing at least DOUBLE the number of matches( much more in fact, as the ticket boost is only 500 tickets and after that's gone... you would be subject to the 15 per match, or Pop the 20 gems for the 10x)

    The ONLY thing it is freeing, is TIME. And that's still on the backend.

    It's an idea that is worth trying.

    Everyone could see an improvement in their experience. Even you.

    Under the ticket bank system, I would probably have a reason to play even more...
