lol. I read it wrong. I thought I read bulbs for rainbow stars not the other way. I have been maxed out for a week. This is not a good idea. Popcap- you have more bad ideas as usual. Keep up with the pay to play ideas. What a joke.
- GameaholikTV6 years agoCreator Network Member@FootSoldier9908 It’s not really pay to play though as you’ve pointed out your maxed so it hasn’t hampered you I’m nearly complete as well ain’t even done any keys fully yet. It’s more pay to advance or pay to not grind it’s a whole new genre in itself haha 😂
I gagged in my mouth a little when I saw the ability to swap Rainbow Stars for Bulbs when we need the reverse. 🤢
I won’t be touching those with a 10’ pole (ANYTHING locked behind a pay wall, not just including but specifically/especially characters).
We should have the ability to earn everything in-game. If they’re going to lock a few customizations behind a paywall - that’s super lame and counter-intuitive to the longevity of the game in the fact that completionists like myself will quit playing the second something better comes out because there’s zero chance of completing a pay-to-win game (of which I consider paid characters and abilities to be the poster children).
Really hope those in charge hear our feelings regarding pay to win.
EDIT: I copy/pasted this from a duplicate thread I unintentionally posted in before I saw this first/original thread. So long as characters or abilities aren’t behind a paywall (or time table that’s impossible to complete that forces purchases), I’m complacent regarding the current setup but frustrated we can’t exchange all currencies game-wide. I really think doing so would boost play-time and gamer enjoyment x10.
It is pay to play if you have to pay $9.99 for a costume every week that you cannot earn in regular gameplay.
- GameaholikTV6 years agoCreator Network Member@FootSoldier9908 I understand what your saying but it isn’t pay to play as you don’t have to pay for those costumes and having them or not isn’t going to affect your gameplay there all pure cosmetic.
- Either way, it's not very impressive, is it?
If they put 25 bulbs up in the store for $10 or whatever it is, people wouldn't even consider it - are they just hoping people won't bother to work out the various conversions? Or are they hoping to tempt those who haven't yet spent on Rux the rainbow stars they've accrued so far? It's bizarre! - GameaholikTV6 years agoCreator Network Member@ToastedSarnie Not my bag for sure would rather buy a nice costume if I like it defo would even consider getting prize bulbs if I ain’t getting it filled one month well that’s too bad for me I’d just selectively pick what I liked off the prize map instead
I personally can't stand this idea.
This just encourages people to pay their way through the Prize Map, rather than just play the game normally and earn Bulbs.
They lowered the XP Rate for a reason, so people didn't feel like they were just grinding away for one Prize Bulb.I have a hard enough time trying to find Lobbies on PC, and if people are able to just purchase the whole prize map outright, it's going to be that much more difficult. Speaking of buying out the whole Prize Map, if you're at 0 Prize Bulbs, that's roughly $70 USD to purchase the whole thing...that's a bit much, don't you think?
Edit: Plus, it takes out the sense of "Accomplishment" for trying to complete the whole Prize Map. It keeps people logging in every day to do the Dailies, and Weekly Character Challenges. With this in place, it ruins everything.
Pay to play is just a saying. For those of us who want game completion we will have to pay weekly. Do you understand what I mean?
