I'm a PS4 Player and completed the Spooky Squash Boss Hunt on Crazy then it premiered; I'm willing to help out any PS4 Players who are having a hard time or who don't understand the very complicated sequence of events- just send me a Friend request on PSN (realitysquared) and note that it's for Boss Hunt. I'm North America East and if I can sync up with you, or you sync up with me I'll help anyone who needs it.

Won twice already with randoms.  Team makeup win #1 (Imp, Scientist, Ice All-Star, Toxic Brains (me)), Win #2 (2 x Imps, Scientist, Toxic Brains (me))

If you know how to play Imp, time your Mec's just right then you can annihilate the Squash.  Imp had the hungry bucket with Scientist heal each time...because of their speed...toxic brains (me) used toxic overload upgrade to vanquish plant champions.

If you don't succeed after 2nd then Stump bosses come out and they are a pain.  I am on Xbox One, gamertag "G🤭UBobcats1804", if anyone wants to try Enchanted or Scrumptious

This boss hunt has a Halloween theme. For that, it should only be available during October, the traditional month for Halloween. Making it available 6 months early just doesn't make sense to me.

On the difficulty side, this is the 2nd hardest boss hunt to beat, for a few possible reasons.

1. Not enough people understand the purpose of this particular boss hunt

2. There are no mid-session hints telling people what to do next

3. The painstaking 1st phase of the boss hunt (holding anchor, and defeating the guardian) is too difficult to do

There are a few pointers to help out, especially for the 1st phase.

1. All-Stars have tackle dummies, a perfect defensive tactic to slow down enemies. Best used for the holding anchor phase.

2. Having at least one scientist healing the person attacking the guardian in the 1st phase can be helpful at times.

3. Toxic Brainz' Toxic Overload is perfect for doing the most damage against Spooky Squash.

Does know how to do all bits of boss hunt so no need to worry about the usual "randoms" behavior.

I had the same problem last night. I had matches with people who didn't know you had to stay by the pillars to keep the anchor boss in play. They kept leaving the circles or attacking the squash while I stayed in the circle and let the anchor boss just roam around. It was super annoying.

Update: I have now beat it on Normal, Hard, and Crazy.

Congrats.  You might be able to fill in the hats with just doing normal twice, I forget the order they come in.  To collect all the hats, it's a good idea to first do normal three times.
