I play on PC too, do you have a mic?
I'm an adult female with mic and no knowledge of this boss hunt, but I've watched plenty of YT video's on what to do. (Lol -- if that even helps)

Won twice already with randoms. Team makeup win #1 (Imp, Scientist, Ice All-Star, Toxic Brains (me)), Win #2 (2 x Imps, Scientist, Toxic Brains (me))
If you know how to play Imp, time your Mec's just right then you can annihilate the Squash. Imp had the hungry bucket with Scientist heal each time...because of their speed...toxic brains (me) used toxic overload upgrade to vanquish plant champions.
If you don't succeed after 2nd then Stump bosses come out and they are a pain. I am on Xbox One, gamertag "G🤭UBobcats1804", if anyone wants to try Enchanted or Scrumptious
