In the Town Hall (The very same building with those 3 chests) is a Seagull who has a Key he wants to sell you for Normal yellow stars. Take that key, find out where to use it. Once the mysterious key is found and used, the Trials of Gnomus may commence once more as another is inducted to the secret path of the Radical Raygun Torched By The Wood....

The rainbow stars are for opening up those 3 chests and also in unlocking the tree and goat. The first thing you need are the keys from the 50 rainbow star chest. If you received a key you need to go into the sewer and unlock the corresponding door and do the trial. There are many videos out there so search and grab one, Good Luck.
I think Ive have been given 2 keys from chests. I havent opened any doors yet. I cant remember the color of the key.
The bird only wants to trade normal stars for rainbowstars and he keeps saying I cant carry any more, or somthing like that.
I went into the sewers last night and found a chest that opens for 200 normal stars. On the opposit side before entering was a locked huge door. It didnt opened.
Btw, do I only have a limited time to use the key ones I get it?
You cannot bank keys you need to open the door immediately or its lost. Those are the only 2 places to spend rainbow stars.

Ok, I went to check the bird again and saw this little chest next to him. Payed him 25 stars and went down and opened the big door.
I didnt have time before work to check the place out. So I guess I have to wait and hope for luck to get those other keys again then huh?
What happens after I have used one of the colored keys, will the place stay open or do I have to get a new one each time if I fail the trial?
Yes, it will stay open. But you need to use it or lose it, so don't waste time opening the portals when you get the keys. You can get a key from each 50 rainbow star chest, I think they made the drop rste 100% after a while. There are a bunch of chests with backyard customizations in the gnomiverse that you can open, keys or not.
The door will stay open permanently you must get past the trial to get the code at the end, when you see the code take a picture or write down the order that you see on the stones. Then go to the corresponding portal that opened up in the door room and notice the 2 missing pictures on the stones. Take another picture or write down the missing 2 on that set and the number order where they are. After you do all 4 trials you will have to input the code in the proper order to fight the guardian. Im not getting anymore keys from those chests. So im guessing its been registred that I have had them. If its a 100% chance of getting them then I should be getting mroe of them unless I actually have them all waiting to be used.
I know I atleast have gotten 2 keys. Because I remember thinking, "oh there is another key for something I dont know what"
@Berit Just watch the 2nd video I posted and go into the sewers that the key opened up and you will see it, then use any corresponding key you have and open the door 🙂
I could be wrong, but my impression was that if you have a portal key and acquire another one without using the first one, then the first one goes away.
@Berit, get ready to exercise some patience. I can't manage to beat a darned one of these trials. Good luck, perhaps you will have higher skill at these things than I do.

I beat the shooting trial and the balance trial with not to many tries. But the on where you have to remember what was poster above the arch is worse.
Im gonna have to ask my boyfriend to quickly make some kind of notes on a paper so he can tell me what to jump on after. I cant remember all those 🙂
Oh and ive taken a screenshot of the two "codes" that Ive been given so far.
Havnt tried any of the bosses that comes after you enter the code. Thats probably where I will fail, because im not very good at those.
I had banked two keys without realizing that one might overwrite the other but nope - that seems to be fixed if it ever was a problem. It seems you can hold onto the keys and use them all at once - I just did yellow and red in succession.

There were some reports of this when the trials of gnomus was first introduced. But it's possible that people were just confused. The entire thing was confounding and mysterious until it had been out for a while. Every time I got a key, I went and opened the portal immediately.
