According to some posts on the net, the Heroes connection was recently still available. However, it has been bugged for some people ever since it was released, with no fix available.

- @pandareno1999 Will the hero hats for other than green shadow/smash be returning in rux’s shop?
Those two hats have never been available from Rux, only from linking to a Heroes account. My memory has been jogged, and I now remember there are two hats that came form elsewhere - Immorticia and one other. I cannot remember, though, if they were Rux hats or Special items from community challenge.
@Stringer2048 I know that the only way to obtain the Green Shadow and The Smash hat is only available by linking your EA Account on PvZ Heroes, if you do that you get them for free.
As of for the other PvZ Hats, I don't know if they are available anymore. Check Rux often if you would like to try and obtain these other Heroes hats as he may sell them occasionally.
