Re: The Return of "Garden Warfare" Weekly Event!
My weekly challenge tips for the "Garden Warfare" event (from 18/3/2020 to 24/3/2020) are shown below (my region is Australia so the dates could be slightly different for others). 🙂:
1. Get 3 vanquishes in one match. This is probably one of the easiest weekly challenges you will ever come across (unless you join the lobby at the very end of the match). If you want to improve your chances of achieving this challenge, play an Attack character as they are mainly designed to earn vanquishes. I'm quite certain that bots and pots count for this challenge because the wording of this challenge doesn't specify that you have to vanquish another player. If you see a pot/bot and are closer to your opponent's side of the map (where they spawn), it might be worth taking out. Also note that shared vanquishes do count, but not assists.
2. Win 2 matches. For this, you want to help your team as much as you can. You may end up getting this challenge faster if you join during the middle of the match and then getting lucky and your team wins. Placing pots/bots are also really helpful because they will help to protect your garden or graveyard from being bombed, and you get XP for doing so as well. Being a healer might help as well because many allies (and opponents) tend to get vanquished at or near the objective/s and you can use the "multiple revive" trick to revive multiple allies. I have a demonstration of me doing it if anyone wants to know what I mean (it's a "hidden ability"): https://gameclips.io/DefenseGuy35/a2ee19d3-5e9b-4e67-867b-aa01dcca183f (00:30, performing multiple revive exploit). Another option is to try to play as a character that you are good at using, or that your team doesn't have very many or any of. Lastly, if the match goes overtime, you want to do your best to prevent the opponents with the Gnome Bomb to plant it on your garden or graveyard, and help your team push towards your opponents' objective (again, healers help!).
3. Get 35 vanquishes. Compared to the first challenge, it takes many more vanquishes, but doesn't require you to win or get all of them in one match. You will want to try to get the first challenges as quickly as possible so that you can begin working on this one. Again, shared vanquishes count, but not assists. It does count if you vanquish pots/bots as well (?). This might take a while, but hopefully the rainbow stars will be worthwhile. Remember that sometimes opponents cluster at an objective, especially when trying to defuse or defend one so you may be able to get many direct or shared vanquishes that way, also look out for pots and bots if you can.
That's all I have to say for now. 🙂
