You're right in that any bounced plants should have their stats reset to default, but I have never seen a glitch like this before. Are you sure they didn't conjure that Walnut from a Cosmic Nut?

Nope, they were both nuts that I bounced earlier
Gravedigger did the bonus attack pogo bouncer bounced the other nut, then used the rocket in the next round, so maybe these were two rounds apart.
You're 100% sure he didn't play any Cosmic Nuts the entire game?
Every time you see '' Becomes '' means that it will be like this for the rest of the game (it is not affected by bounce ability). So, when you play a nut, becomes 3
, and if it is returned to your hand, it will keep the 3
. The same happens with Onions Rings: ''Each plant in your hand becomes 4
/4
. '' , so if any of those plants is bounced, it will keep the 4
/4

this is very different to: '' A plant/zombie gets +2

'' for example: Grow Shroom, you can notice the difference in the text: When played: Another Plant gets +2

. So, if that plant is bounced, it will lose the buff.

You can see how grow mushroom buff the other mushroom ( after he becomes 4\4 by Onion Rings) , pay attention to the minute 4:00 , he get bounced, and notice he return to be 4\4, so he maintain the buff of Onion Rings but not the buff of grow mushroom.
Unfortunately i don't have a example of three nuts but i can assure you that they works like this, i saw that before in my games

there are so many hidden things in this game, It would be great if the game had something like a book, where things like: '' block meter does not activate when you have 10 cards in hand '' or '' when both heroes have only 1 of health, and Galacta Cactus is destroyed, the plant hero plant loses because it receives the damage first'' or why Deadly can kill zombies too, or when the Super block is activated, all consecutive damage will not affect, similar to Punish shroom when attacks several times. Explain why Wild berry will never trigger Pair Paradise when she moves...
