Really not epic!

Me and the other half decided to buy gw2 in the summer sale. We already had fun getting the platinum on the first one and it's become a bit if a competition to see who can get it first.
We are at the stage were we both need plant and zombie kills and 10 epic quests. How are you supposed to get epic quests when they are not putting them in the challenges?
I woke up this morning and I don't have any. Surely they should have a epic day or at least give more out on a regular basis. I don't want this trophy to end up a no go because of one ridiculous idea of waiting 48hrs and praying you may get just the one and end up with none.
I sent a message to ea about it in the live chat and they told me to speak to the devs. I try to speak to the devs and they have linked the email to ea. Getting in touch with popcap games and ea is becoming a epic quest in itself.

  • They usually only drop 1 or 2 epics a week sometimes less. Just have to keep checking the board every time they update it. You also need to clear the quest out so you have room for the new ones on the board. That achievement trophy  was next to the last one  I got still working on the 10 superboss waves from garden ops.

  • I'm under the general impression that the Quest Board pulls from a compiled list of possible quests, sort of the same way that sticker packs work, with different kinds of quests having a certain percentage chance of showing up on any particular refresh of the board. That sort of automation would make sense considering the schedule and timer and if that is in fact how it works then we could assume that Epic level quests would have a lower drop rate.

Just hang in there and keep checking; they will show up and you'll eventually get your badge.

  • That's pretty funny that the devs themselves gave you a e-mail link to EA who has nothing to do with the games aside from publishing and guiding them. You'd think the devs would know the answer to their own game so i'm pretty sure you weren't talking to a dev and rather someone else.

Regardless this isn't really a big issue (and yes reporting on the fourms would have been a lot faster.) you are not given a epic quest every two days all the time. I would say a epic quest appears on the board 80% of the time but yeah you just got to be patient with it. You'll get your platinum eventually :P
Besides if you are racing everyone on the same console gets the same quests daily so your friend won't have any epic quests before you
