Since the new patch i always automatically end up in the character select screen instead of the backyard. In that screen i cannot however select any character. It will just throw me back to the character select.
The only way to bypass this is to switch teams, which then lets me select a character to finally spawn in the backyard.
Got another case at 19:01 CEST at 8th June 2017.

This time however I didn't pick the plant in the character Select screen but switch character twice resulting in choosing the last played Zombie.
Right now at 10.36 CEST.
I didn't have it for a while, but today the issue has returned for me.
I am on Origin and my user name is my user name here.

since today for me (i have do a comeback today.. so can't help on that) , the issue occurs 100% of the time i launch the game, i am put directly on a "character selection page", i need to switch team to go into the HUB or the game don't let me go in.

one thing to add is, at least for me, that issue occurs always when i jump in with a zombie, never happend if i am on the plant side
