Imp, Space Cadet, and Acorn all seem to be able to do this. I'm unsure how (though that's a good thing, I have no desire to learn it), but it can be really frustrating. Especially since more and more people seem to have figured out the trick. Even if a lobby is going well, if you get a kill streak on the wrong person, they'll just switch to their invincible character and camp outside the spawn.
What's worse, is that after this last update, a few people seem to have figured out a way to target allies in the hub using Sap Trap. I was checking the kiosk by the portal to choose my game mode, when all of a sudden I'm dead from a guy hitting me with Super Sap Trap. Standard weapons don't do anything, just the sap trap itself, but it's really frustrating.
Thankfully, although I frequent PVP (I'm a turf takeover man, myself) I have yet to encounter these glitches in any form in PVP. I only tend to use Giddy Park if I have less than 1k XP needed to promote a character, but it's still something that needs a fix ASAP, and preferably a way to report the offending players that doesn't require a ton of steps.
@Thorgonator I’ve yet to see this outside of Giddy Park and think you’re safe in all other PvP, so far as these glitches are concerned.

@spIash_damage Unfortunately as of now I have encountered the bug twice in Turf Takeover. One player appeared to be doing it unintentionally, while the other was specifically targeting allies. Nothing today, so maybe it was hotfixed, but unfortunately the sap trap bug did indeed effect multiplayer.
