Provided they did not ajust the rate at which you earned coins through matches currently, I honestly wouldn't mind too much if players were allowed to purchase packs using real money.
However, where my concern lies is more in how this creates an unhealthy precedent for the industry at large. With games like Forza 5 already including microtransactions I don't want to further encourage developers to utilise this practice, largely because I think it's impossible for them to stay away from tweaking normal earn rates to encourage people to spend real money. Thankfully outrage at Forza's system forced them to change, but it's still not great.
Mass Effect 3 did pretty well with the system, although it still felt like it took a long time to earn crates.
I get where you're coming on this one, but personally my concerns are for the big picture.- Anonymous11 years ago
Yea, but some FTP games do it well. Warframe has the nice system that you can earn anything in-game, or you can pay for it to get ahead if you want. I agree that they need to watch how the ingame coins are ballanced, which is why i recon a income doubler or somthing that give bonus cards / rewards at the end of matches would be a good way to go.
