I'm confused about the stay original part. I want to make a fan game that resembles and improves upon the core gameplay of plants vs zombies heroes. Is that still within the rules?

@Kolshgamer I don't see why not, but there could be differences based on the studio rules they have set forth on their end. That I am afraid we cannot answer yes or no to. I've seen plenty of people making these requests over the years and what I can say is be as detailed as possible.

Even if they don't approve it for you because of ABC reasons, they will forward to who will provide you an answer as to what the next steps will be.

@Kolshgamer its a request form that gets forwarded to the right department. There may not be an actual team listed that it goes to because each game is different.
