This glitch is happening to us in home world
If we switch from plants to zombies or go to changing booth or try to switch in any manor 75% of the time. We are getting sick of restarting the game! I laughed when I saw it was a rare problem more like it rarely doesn't happen. it's annoying I hope they fix it makes my son quit after a few restarts. Getting old and we just got the game a month ago. Just had a new internet provider hooked up hoping that would help but still the same definitely a problem with the game.
I'm on ps4 by the way and it happens a lot. Just posted forgot to add that.
