RIP Old Characters?
It is extremely rare to see old characters perform well in multiplayer, therefore almost no one chooses them. 🤨

- They're not dead I still frequently get the vanquish boast using scientist and pea shooter. I think there are two reasons your not seeing the old characters represented as much. First and foremost the rose issue where anyone with a basic grasp of fps games can rack up kills, and second the game is new there are newly added characters who many people are excited to play, give people some time to enjoy the new toys and after rose gets fixed I'm sure the old characters will shine just as bright.

I have to disagree for several reasons. I still use the GW1 characters. I love playing engineer, scientist, all-star, peashooter, sunflower, and chomper. We have newly designed characters that simply look better and sleeker. I love playing the old characters in this game and seeing what they can do. Plus we have all the new variants of them which gives it an all new twist and makes it even more interesting to play. Me and my friends love the regular GW1 characters for sure. Plus, there are sentimental reasons we play them...for old times sake. To me they seem new since we are in a whole new game...taking them to new places...getting to level them up and unlock upgrades. I love those guys!
Half true, i see more news then olds but the olds are certainly still around. The news are simply more extravagant so they attract more people. Frequently sneak-attack players and snatch suburbinization checkpoints as an Archaeologist, to the point where i'm scared he may get nerfed because i get 20+ kills as him..
People are using the new characters more because...they are new? :P
The old characters are still common and perform just as well as they did in the first game
