I've been using Rose as my main in PvP, and I also specialized with her in GW2.
First thing I did when I encountered aiming problems was turn off the aim assist in the settings since it seems to be glitchy when opposing team members are bunched together; I'm sure it is intended to help but whatever criteria it uses to determine seems to be glitchy so there are times where it tries to decide what you should be aiming at instead of what you are aiming at and it interferes more than it helps.
Using the same strategies I used in GW2 seem to still work in BfN. I'll have a better feel for this iteration for her once I get all her perks unlocked.
For those who might be new to PvZ; Rose's thistles work best when you stay just at the point where the reticle turns red. Any farther away and you don't get the homing ability and if you get too close then the thistles don't have the time to arc properly- it's a gentle curve towards target rather than an aggressive seeking so Zombies moving rapidly can get outside of the thistles ability to turn towards them- especially when they are moving side to side. Stationary Zombies or ones moving towards or away from you make better targets.
I'm expecting the same sort of difficulty curve that I saw in GW2; Rose without the right perks was a bit rubbish while Rose with the right perks was my favorite character. They've changed her a bit for BfN but I'm getting the hang of her tactics-wise so I just need to unlock the rest of her perks so I can see how the Mastered version of her in BfN compares with the Mastered version from GW2.
