@Fiky39 & @kingcodered I'm just tagging you because I know you are affected by this issue as well and that my report of the support experience might help you
@EA_David Sorry for dragging you back into this, but support told me to contact you yet again.
Update after contacting support:
At first everything went well. The support staff I chatted with with was very friendly. She told me she hadn't played the game in a while and so I explained the whole situation to her in great detail. As she didn't seem to know about the issue (apparently support wasn't informed about it?), I told her that a community manager had referred me to support as it was a widespread issue that couldn't be fixed by the developers retroactively.
She asked for a link to this topic. Is sent her the link to this thread and my bug report on it.
Then she asked for my account email to look into the issue with a specialist. She stated that she could see my rainbow star balance increasing when I bought them, but there wasn't an entry indicating my rainbow star balance had decreased. Because of this, she refused to refund my rainbow stars. She told me that was good news as I hadn't been charged. I asked her why that was good news when there was no evidence in the system that I had bought the gesture when I know for a fact rainbow stars were indeed subtracted from my account. Without confirmation I had spent money on the item and hadn't gotten it for free in the prize map, she couldn't help me.
She said I should contact @EA_David again.
I asked her what use that would be as the community managers had already said the devs couldn't fix it and everyone had to contact support. I mean @EA_David is clearly a nice guy and helped me a lot, but he couldn't magically return my rainbow stars to me. She just said she couldn't help me with this anymore and I thanked her for trying her best to help me.
I would like to take tis opportunity to express my disappointment in the whole situation so far. The lack of communication about this from the developers, the existence of Rux in general, him selling prize map content at the same time it is introduced for free in the prize map, the support experience.
Everything about this is dissatisfactory (expect the kind help of @EA_David & @TheSprinter85 )
I would like to point out the following: Why would lie about having had to pay for free content? Why would I go through the pain of wasting my time on this and writing many many long posts about this? Just to get some rainbow stars from support? That celery wouldn't be worth it. I find the implication of this by support to be insulting, to say the least. I know she couldn't do anything about this and was friendly the whole time, so my anger isn't direct at her. I remained calm and friendly as well. But at the end of the day, I'm the one who has been scammed by EA.
