Community AdminI believe I have to give a "mea culpa" here. I had this conflated with a particular issue where an item was acquirable by stars, but then still needed to be bought from the Prize Map in exchange for bulbs.
In such a case the rainbow star cost should be refunded. It's not widespread exactly, but it's something we want to chase up on.
In this case, I misread the original post and conflated it with the the issue described. I apologise, both for the delay (i would have responded sooner had I not misunderstood) and for misleading you.
@EA_David No problem. You have to read so many messages each day. Mistakes can happen.
I still think I'm entitled to get my rainbow stars back, though. I've written about this issue in this post before, but this is definitely unacceptable.
Rux was selling this item to me at the same time it was available in the prize map for free. If the devs think it's fine to give stuff away later for free after making other users pay for it, that's one thing. The key word here is later. I was able to pay for it although I could have gotten it for free. I think they should clearly state paid content can me made accessible later for free. The way they are doing it now I'd consider it to be a scam.
And even if Rux sold it to me a day or so before the prize map launched: The devs can't simply add items to rux rotation and include them in a prize map the next day.
Please don't take this post as an insult to you, I know you were only trying to help me 🙂. That still doesn't change the fact that I'm very mad about the whole situation, though.
Please try to get the devs to do something about this.
I've been a PvZ fan since the first game. I continued playing although EA has made some very shady changes to even the original game. (I bought the game on iOS and EA later made it free and added "micro" transactions. My mini games were locked away from me and I would have to pay ridiculous prices to get them back. they even removed "There's a zombie on your lawn" from the game.)
The point is: PvZ was one of the first games I ever played and I have very fond memories playing it with my siblings. It helps me relax when I had a difficult day suffering from a lot of pain from my chronic diseases.
I don't want to have to leave PvZ over something as stupid as this.
I only started posting on the forums recently and planned on being a part of this community for a long time. I always tried to highlight the positives rather than the negatives.
So sorry if my tone has shifted.

Can't argue with that, only reason I suggested NL and CM is because they are more damaging and powerful.
