9 years agoYou may try Windowed-Borderless mode. This is visually the same as Fullscreen and it's what I typically run games in (there are situations where this can be undesirable but there is a very high chance you won't notice any difference).
As for why it's doing it... perhaps a keybinding on the controller or more likely background software of some sort. Perhaps even something like Win10's notifications?
Is the sound cutting related to when it switches to windowed mode or is that an unrelated issue?

The sound cutting happens when the screen windowing happens

Does Borderless mode resolve both issues? I'm thinking it likely will with no performance degradation.

borderless does remove the screen going small but not the sound cutting out.
