Season ending winnings

I've come to realize that any headstart a player receives at the beginning of each season is a wolf in sheep's clothing; yes, one does receive more packs as a reward for having finished a season at higher levels, but those rewards are nothing compared to the overall rewards given to players as one advances through ranks and leagues.

If you do the math, you can verify that a player that starts at rank 1 can easily make 615 gems by advancing from 1 to 20. This is with all gems given from advancing between ranks and leagues. That's easily 6 packs you could purchase and it doesn't include any bonuses given from quests. 6 packs could easily give at least 36 cards. Each pack has at least one card worth 50 and 5 worth 15 more or less which is 125 in sparks (usually more though). Of course, 125 sparks times 6 is 750 (usually more though).

I would also like to say that leveling up from rank 1 is the easiest task one could do in this game. You receive extra stars in the beginning and aren't deducted any if you lose.

What I'm trying to say is that this is not a headstart for the advanced players but rather a way to minimize their card winnings and gem winnings and a way for all others to catch up which really means the lower ranked players receive a headstart.

Why lie to players and not call it by what it really is?

Do you agree or disagree?

  • I agree with what youre saying. . But i dont think they did that on purpose, to make you lose gems, as well as higher ranks should get some kind of benefit in the next season. So perhaps they can give us the gems we should of have earned so we wont lose any. I thought about it myself today, so youre not the only one who thinks that way.

What they started doing is the league packs. The first couple seasons had the packs only and it was brought up then as well, and so they offer gems with a bonus of cards or packs.

You can have the glory of being UL or garner the most amount of gems in a season, but not both and I'm OK with that.

If you figure it all out, the difference isn't that much. The fact that it was an option of less stressful nights not trying to level up but just having fun playing and/or deck building(which for me is probably where I spend most of my time) and trying out some funny decks and some crazy decks

But by only going to 49 you already miss out on 35 gems for level up and 300 more for completion of taco league.

So then starting back at 20 you will get 25 a level and 200 for finishing gold. So thats 450 compared to 335 and an extra pack which is another 100 gems.

All in all it is 15 gems difference, so nothing to worry about, and not enough to make it a mission to not get UL.

Biggest thing for me was last season ultimate pack was bunch of gems and 8 random legendary cards! Which is a nice bonus for sure.

Most important thing is that you have fun and enjoy playing this addiction
  • I'm not saying that it's not worth it to get to 50 because I think it's fun to battle and level up as much as possible but why be punished and have to start at a high level because you ended the season so well? By starting at a higher level you lose out on all the gems one can win by leveling up from 1. Doing the math it is a total of 2265 gems where about half of them come from rank and league gems from 1-30. That would buy around 10 packs I think. Also, I didn't know that one could trade cards for gems. I thought it was cards for sparks. How do you do that?

So my point is not that players avoid going to 50 but that the people behind this game should start everyone of at 1 no matter what at the beginning of each season because it provides the same amount of gem winnings for everyone and if you're truly good enough to be at 50 then you should have no issue starting at the same place everyone else does.

Same opinion here. Everyone should be s t back to level 1 regardless of their badge.

I like the idea of what they're doing now. It keeps high level players from slaughtering beginners (ftmp, there are the occasional exceptions) but they should give us the gems we would have earned getting to 30 when it levels is up at season start.

I agree with that. The upper levels should not feel as though they are punished for getting to level 50 or whatever the case may be.
Even if the bonus was once you are reset to the baby walnut, and then when you climb to the league you start at, you get gems or x amount of packs accordingly.

It is as if we are penalized for playing more than others when most of the players being penalized are probably a big chunk of the player base
