sewer fish xp "glitch"

You know there's the fish in the sewers wich gives you xp if you give it stars. I did something that probably wasn't meant to happen.
So I was playing with my brother (splitscreen) and he gone to the center of the "backyard battleground" and raised the flag and after that the xp multiplier goes massively down so I gone to the sewers gave five stars to the fish and yea I just wasted five stars.
