@spIash_damageI'd say you're right about the firing change being down to personal preference, but would've thought having the shield is a big help?

@PineapplePiano Though I'm looking forward to there being a new character, I'm quite nervous about the impact it's going to have. Glad plants at least got a legendary upgrade first, will have to hope it helps . . .

Final verdict: the upgrade just isn’t for me. I’ve put it on my #2 loadout but will only use it under extenuating circumstances (if I’m stuck on the 7th round of BA and my enemies only have non-melee characters to play against).
The shield isn’t worth it for me because the price is too high when the ROF is so slow.

Based on what I've seen, I somewhat have to agree with you. I like this upgrade and it seems useful - but at the same time, it doesn't do a whole lot! The shield is a nice add-on, especially since you can fire with your primary without consuming your ability, but the shield's health is too low and takes a while to regenerate. The damage increase is traded off for speed, so you're not getting a largely significant DPS boost (you get some though). Overall, though, I'm looking forward to getting it, it seems like a handy upgrade to have (in some situations), and I hope this upgrade works out well! 🙂

I've got a long way to go myself, I should unlock the Imp legendary hat tonight (I'm not bee-lining for it, I'm finished each page before moving on). I'm very glad for your report @spIash_damage as it sounds like it's not a pay to win upgrade but a personal choice one and that's fantastic news to be sure. I'm looking forward to more of these if this is the standard.
I still haven't played with this upgrade but from what I've seen the upgrade would probably be more interesting if you could keep your standard rate of fire.
I'd like to see this upgrade divided into two parts:
- Shield (4 points)
- Commado Corn (0 Points)
I still think that playing with the upgrades which are actually imitating variants should be equipable for no costs at all.
