I still haven't played with this upgrade but from what I've seen the upgrade would probably be more interesting if you could keep your standard rate of fire.
I'd like to see this upgrade divided into two parts:
- Shield (4 points)
- Commado Corn (0 Points)
I still think that playing with the upgrades which are actually imitating variants should be equipable for no costs at all.

I think the problem lies with the existing upgrade that increases ROF for critical vanquishes that costs 3 slots. Shielding and rapid fire of 11hp is scary. I think critical shots inflict 13 HPs, too.
That said, I LOVE that idea, if there was a way to work around what I’ve expressed.
- 6 years ago@spIash_damage Indeed, that might be a horrific combination of upgrades.
I didn't think about it, since I don't play Corn that much. To be honest I must admit that it is my least favourite class on Plant side.
But that aside, there should be a way to tweak the upgrades to avoid such OP combinations. - 6 years ago

I believe this will benefit new players and people who don't like to strafe/shoot more than people with greater experience. As for myself, I like to be mobile and move quicker. If the shield could take damage from things such as Heroic Fists (and break before you die), I'd like it. As it stands, SB can walk up to ya and hit ya 2-3 times and you're dead (which boggles my mind)... it's like the shield isn't even there.
Those who play back from the fight should LOVE this upgrade. - Conewhizz6 years agoNew Vanguard
The implementation of the upgrade was insanely good, not only did they change the feel, which makes it feel like you are playing a completely different character, they completely dodged the pay to win thing. One of my friends did testing and apperantly they have the exact same dps. Like the EXACT same. The shield also isnt pay to win because it comes with an expensive 5 slot price. Anyway, they nailed this upgrade, can't wait for more.
