Should the movespeed nerf be reverted?

The maps are HUGE and they are so hard to traverse through, Ever played Team vanquish on the Colosseum map? 50% of the time you are just walking around looking for an enemy. Theres also the problem when you just lost a base to the zombies and have to walk all the way to the new capture point, IT TAKES FOREVER! You might as well respawn or try to engage the fleet of zombies coming towards you. It isnt right popcap, the solution for this problem is to increase the movespeed for the plants and zombies, make it like it was in the beta, People complained there was too much chaos going on, the problem wasnt players movespeed, it was just the way of things, thats what you get when you have huge maps and more characters added to the game.

I have to respectfully disagree. Faster movement speed for both sides makes a much smaller hit boxes. The movement speed right now I feel is good where it is at. Before the reduction there were too many things to focus on. I still find this a problem when seeing multiple zombies move my way then spam all abilities. I find myself being able to traverse ground fairly easy even without speed upgrades or movement abilities. Imps are still a pain for me to kill as hits have a hard time hitting that small of a target when jumping or running around. I would recommend you apply speed upgrades or find better vantage points or path ways to use in route on the maps.

Fact is the movespeed upgrade you unlock is enough as movespeed buff, overall on specific class who are already hard to catch. Reverting the movespeed nerf will be in a change of the game and a buff on specific classese.. guess which classes? Imps and Scientists for the most which are already extremely mobile.

"People complained there was too much chaos going on"

Thing is, all the character in order to be functionally, overall the old ones, need to unlock most of the upgrades (digest, ice upgrade, movespeed and so on).

Less movespeed influences the game in the way fights are going to happen less. They were right to do these changes.

  • I support the idea of an overall Speed Boost, specially on Pc. The main reason they nerfed speed was to avoid the so called "hectic speed", which was an idiotic console effect that dragged Pc alongside. Developers did not even bothered to test is first, since console version actually came out first.

Do not misunderstand my words and turn this into a Pc-console war, I simply consider Pc controls and mechanics to allow that extra Speed in combat. This effect might be positive on many levels, considering the unnecessarily massive size of the maps and the actual battle zones (95% of the time over the same spots).

Reverting the nerf is fine with me. I do however not want the Scienstist, Chomper and Super Brainz to get a further speed increase because they already got one (I don't mind the speed buff for the Sunflowers). The All-Star and Kernel Corn could actually be useful once again in Turf Takeover when they had the ability to get to the objective in under one minute (Teleports excluded). I do not get PopCap's reason to reduce overall speed, as this game is fairly slow paced conpared to many games on console and PC.

  • They should just limit the size of maps on team vanquish mode etc.

The speed is excellent on Turf war in my opinion.

Meh,the problem is that is would indirectly nerf the char that got to keep said movement speed boost, Mainly sunflower and chomper, although scientist and superbrain would get hurt by it too.
