Sick of the server booting and game freezing on Garden Ops!

EA sells a game we can't even PLAY. I am so over these issues that haven't been solved for MONTHS! Anyone know who to contact?
They want to make shareholders money, however I am notifying all my clients about how crappy their servers are. Spend the money and fix this **bleep**!

I should also add, I am not the only one on my friends list having this issue. It's everyone. Stop blaming it on our connectivity.
  • At what point do you freeze? In game, on menus? Are you hosting the game? Are you able to play fine solo?

Garden Ops is peer hosted, so as the last user reccomended try hosting and see if you have the same issues.  A little more information might help us narrow it down.  Where are you getting booted?  Are you hosting when it occurs?

If the person you are connected to has a bad connection or quits it will boot everyone.

Also you might want to check your NAT settings

nat setting comes up alot. i have no idea on how to change them. i have the same garden ops probs as these ppl. so do others i play with or randoms i ask. seems like a bit of a prob to be our internets
  • I wouldn't say it's a problem with their internets, but rather their network settings.

I'm no expert but from my understanding:

NAT helps ensure security for your network, the stricter it is generally the more secure your network is but also increases connection issues to players. This effects all players that're trying to connect, and not only your NAT but theirs is taken into consideration when attempting to play with each other.

    Taken from Playstation forums: http://community.us.playstation.com/t5/PlayStation-General/NAT-Type-2-Tutorial/td-p/27538324

Having a closed or limited NAT on your gaming console will cause a variety of issues. The PS3 offers Type 3, Type 2 and Type 1 NAT results. These break down as follows:

Type 1 - Connected directly to the internet (no router/firewall). Should have no issues.
Type 2 - Connected through a router properly. Should have no issues.
Type 3 - Connected through a router without open ports or DMZ setup for PS3. Everything should function properly, but you may have connection, voice chat or other issues.

While most everything will function properly regardless of what your NAT setting is, your best bet is to set up your PS3 so that you can obtain a Type 1 or Type 2 NAT. Since most of us have routers at home for connecting multiple computers or devices to the internet, chances are the best we will get will be Type 2. Thankfully that's fine and everything will work properly.

ops always freezes if the difficulty is on hard or crazy. mid game it will just freeze ps3 or boot to main menu. hosting or not it still does it. with friends, randoms, it doesnt matter. any one i ask in games say the same. i think it has to do with the ps3 loading in all the enimies. cause it will get huge lag spikes when zombies are loading or/and alot of action is onscreen, ( bamboo shoots green bombardment going off). ive also had it happen between rounds as well so i could be wrong. game mode just dies.

And also why is this the only game thats peer to peer thats so picky on nat settings or suposed firewall sensitivity. no other peer to peer game ive ever or currently play gives me such problems. only this one, and its not just me. ps3 version is kinda wack with this. paid for agame that suddenly doesnt work. and another thing that makes me think its to do with the game itself is the fact that the whole freezing durring ops never exsisted before the last update to the mode that added the last set of new zombies to it.that's why it seems the ps3 struggles to load in zombies and u get lag spikes leading to disconnections or freezes

OK seriously this is not a fix for lag from EA servers. I can play ANY of the 40 games I own on PS4 online, multiplayer and this includes garden warfare one. But when it comes to PvZ2 GW it has becomes completely unstable. If the servers are not fixed within seven days however, I will get my 300.00 back I've spent on coin packs for customization seeing as I can no longer access the game and content properly. At least my bank has my back.
