Skirmish Areas

So as you know BFN has skirmishes and I was wondering if someone could maybe make a map of mount steep and weirding woods of the area where you can start the skirmishes

  • @surroundsound1 I think when you are in the different named parts of the map all you have to do is stay in that area and keep killing everything and they will kick in.

There do seem to be certain spots in each area of each map that the skirmishes actually center on but you can spark them by killing anything in that entire area. Where you get that last vanquish before the skirmish breaks out determines which of a few spots you get. I keep thinking of the one spot in Mount Steep that has the Ninja bounty hunt. I had quite a few skirmishes there hunting a special skirmish boss and there were noticably two spots where the skirmish could center, both near doorways into that area.

The skirmish I had the most trouble with was zombie pressure pier. There aren't enough plants to vanquish or the threshold for skirmishes is too high there or something. I was farming for the special boss for the medal and I could vanquish every plant in the area rapidly and not spark one. Had to draw in plants from the next area to get it going. By far the hardest area with a skirmish boss medal to get an actual skirmish on.

  • @TLEsquire Agree that's the hardest. I did it by killing the Rose close to the border with town then ducking into town for her to regen, going back to kill her again & it kicked off that way . . .

@ToastedSarnie I shot at the guys in the next area near the rose to draw them into the right area. From my experience, it looks like where you are standing and/or where the vanquish actually happens, determines where the skirmish starts. Or maybe it has to do with the closest skirmish area even if the vanquished are technically in another section of the map. It's an interesting question how the mechanics actually work.
