At the end of the Lawn of Doom event they provided a special Sticker Pack in the shop which filled in the missing customizations for those who couldn't log in every day/twice a day throughout the event.
I suspect that the same will be done with Festivus.

He was still there for me a couple of hours ago.
- He was still there for me as well; potentially he'll stick around until New Years maybe? Or until you get all the Festivus items since you can hit him twice a day.
