Good stuff!
The bots in GW2 were, like you say, not perfect, but they just play so much better than the BfN bots. When I play a TT match against bots in GW2, and attack (I usually attack as I enjoy it more, even if means I tend to lose more often), I have no idea where we're going to end the match at, it could be a win, or we could get stuck at an earlier point. In BfN, barring very few rare exceptions, the match always ends on that last point when I'm attacking. The lack of uncertainty makes them a bit dull to be honest.
The bots in GW2 were cheaters of course, Chomper disarming gnome bombs while underground, soldiers firing their ZPgs as they're getting revived, and on on, but they work better overall than in BfN.
I miss the AI on the opposite team using spawnables in private play from GW2. I felt it was a good touch. Having AI on both teams is cool, but I think they didn't have that in GW2 so AI wouldn't 'steal' our XP.
I like all your recommendations for more crazy modes, customizing bots and so on. The bots you use in GW2 solo Ops use your customizations, but they don't use any in the private matches.
While not solo play, I'd like to see more crazy options for the mystery portal, should the next game have them, as having speed boost all the time gets old in a hurry. Adding more options like you outline here would certainly help.
@Iron_Guard8I'm baffled as to why ai in solo ops could use our cosmetics and handle alternate abilities but we couldn't do that for regular multiplayer in solo play. We could also have Torchwood and hovergoat on our team but we had to start as them than swap out and they weren't added into team formations when they released.
I swear the bots in 2 could see you from a mile away because they almost always shot at a target in the open no matter how far.
The defenders almost always lose in bfn when playing with bots as they never attempt to retake the base once they're out and as I mentioned they just start walking around during the finale.
One thing I forgot to mention is that sniper ai can hopefully use their drones even if they get shot down fast.
No map should be excluded either. Walnut hills with all classes is more fun to play than with just people spamming peashooter and cactus. The mechs in remastered still seem to have good pathfinding even with the areas they can't go.
