Springboards?
This is the first time I've had to ask a question here but I am at a loss. Is there a trick to getting thrown far/high enough on the springboards? I trigger them, but EVERY TIME I try and use them to...

@Takara07JDo you mean the launch pads in Weirding Woods? First off, have you found there's a button close to each pad? You need to first activate the pad with a nearby switch then get back to the pad quickly before it turns off again.
Otherwise, off the top of my head (it's been a while since I did the chests & golden gnomes) I don't think they're designed to get you to particular items, just to get you closer to them or an area?? 🤔
Is there one particular item you're trying to get?
Your best best with most chests & gnomes is using the pads to get close, then a bit of parkour and / or a jump ability, such as Soldier's "rocket jump" or Super Brainz "hyper jump thump".
Thanks for your reply! Yes, the launch pads in Weirding woods (sorry I wasn't really sure what they were called). And yes, I've activated the button/s. There's one that you use to get to a platform to get to a chest, and there's one that you use to get to the 10th audio log. Once you're launched by the pad, it won't let you use another skill (i.e. rocket jump) until you land. If there's another way to get the audio log without having to use the springboard that'd be great... but the video I'm following is using the launch pad, so, I'm not sure.

I've tried everything.. jumping, walking, sprinting up to the launch pad. I've just spent the last 20 minutes trying to get the chest that's up in the tree, right about in the middle of the map at the very bottom. It's SO FRUSTRATING. I don't understand why it's not launching me far enough. I play PC version but with an xbox remote, but I've tried keyboard controls as well. I've tried different characters. I don't get it.
