Springboards?
This is the first time I've had to ask a question here but I am at a loss. Is there a trick to getting thrown far/high enough on the springboards? I trigger them, but EVERY TIME I try and use them to...

@Takara07J That's great, thanks. Ok, so I tried getting to that chest again, three times with slightly different results...
Each time I used Soldier, who I personally found easiest for this sort of thing, and each time I hit the activated launch pad at a sprint.
First time I hit the pad at a very slight diagonal angle & only just made it onto the platform - I think if the angle had been ever so slightly greater, I'd have not quite had the height or length to make it.
Second time, the pad bugged out & didn't boost at all 😖
Third time I hit the pad perfectly straight & landed perfectly & easily next to the chest, so I'd say that's probably the key to it.
I don't think character should really make a difference, but if you try Soldier you may be able to use rocket jump mid-air to boost you the final bit if it looks like you're going to land short.

@ToastedSarnieThank you so much for taking the time to look into it, I really appreciate it. I wonder if something is wrong with my system or something, because I hit it straight on, or at an angle, and it doesn't get me up there. My computer is new... I don't see why that would affect anything, but it's the only thing I can think of is that something in my system is slow or laggy so it's not pumping me up all the way. I have nearly 100% in all the areas; the only things I have difficulty with are challenges or bosses that involve jumping. I can't even beat the boss in Mount Steep because I absolutely cannot make the jumps it requires when the cheese is rising, when players in the videos/guides make it seem so easy - which is why it makes me believe it may just be me. So, for the time being I'll keep trying to figure out what my issue is. Thanks for taking the time to help me out! I really appreciate it 🙂
- @Takara07J So you have more general issues with jumps, regardless of whether you're using keyboard or controller? Urgh, that doesn't sound fun.... I won't try speculating on that, as I'm about as technically-minded as a biscuit 😖😂
You might want to try posting a general description of the problem (giving a couple of examples) on the Technical Issues board - the clever people in there might recognise the issue & be able to suggest something that'll help 🤞

I went to Weirding Woods to try the chest you are having trouble with and used soldier and this is the result:
as you can see I just popped onto the platform easily.... it must be so frustrating for you and I'm not sure what to suggest... seems a little odd.
We have had issues with people not being able to complete quests due to certain upgrades or even costumes... not sure why this would impact your jumps but might be worth trying a vanilla soldier or other character with out upgrades and see if that helps... this game does have weird little glitches and oddities. I will try unequipping everything to see if that helps, it certainly couldn't hurt at this point! haha. I wish I had the capabilities to record my screen so I could show you what's happening, but I don't. Though at this point don't think it really matters lol. It's been nice to meet such nice players! I'm behind on this thread as the title threw me off but as a PC player, @asabaida (and a few other forum regulars) is on my Origin friend list and while it's been awhile (partly due to my friends list issues) we've played together quite a bit! I'm also available for help with boss fights and such.
As far this spring board, I'd have to look into this and see how easy/difficult it is to reach it. If all else fails, we can just join up and you can show us in game what's going on and hopefully we can help. My Origin tag is of course my name in this post.

I’m on PS4 myself but I also had an issue with one of the booster pads not launching me properly- like you no matter what I did I would always fall short of the platform.
I wound up giving up on it for a while and then came back to it a day or two later to find it working fine and I made it in one try despite not doing anything new-I had to conclude that it was a temporary issue with the game itself.
@realitysquaredI hope that is the issue! I revisit this location about once a week for the last 3 to 4 weeks. hopefully one day it will be fixed and work for me properly! Thank you for your response, it gives me hope! hahah xD
