I've seeing a lot of reported issues with folks on laptops. If you have a laptop please check your power settings and your graphics card manager to ensure that your main card is getting used when you play GW. For the folks who are also seeing this, putting your specs in the response may help.

I have a PC, not a laptop, and I have no clue where the specs are, but they should just be whatever comes with a windows 8 PC. And it never says anything about a graphics card or something like that, it just says "PVZ Garden Warfare has stopped working. Windows is finding a soluton to the problem."

This could point to a Windows 8 problem.
Is everyone running from the updated Windows 8.1? This has been known to cause a lot of problems with gamepads, usb headphones and of course certain game titles.

Using Windows 8.1 Crashes at startup. Had no problem first time I played the game...for about the first 30 min. Then crashed; then I kept getting these login windows to Origin that didn't allow me to login. Eventually solved that issue, so that now the game will at least launch, but crashes at startup. Specs below:

If you did not shop for a game quality machine, you almost certainly do not have one. The ordinary, average PC, whether desktop or laptop, is not going to include the required GPU
Required: Internet connection required to install and play
DVD-ROM: N/A
OS: Windows 7/8 64bit
Video Card: NVIDIA 8800GT, AMD/ATI Radeon HD 5750
@ Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo @ 3.0 GHz
Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c
Compatible Memory: 4GB RAM
DirectX: 10.0+
Hard Drive: 15 GB
Input: Keyboard, Mouse or Dual Analog Gamepad

I have the same problem, though mines a bit different. I get the message
"DirectX function "CreatePixelShooter for Dx10Plus/SMAAEdgeDetection_prediction=1" failed with E_OUTOFMEMORY ("Direct3D could not allocate sufficient memory to complete the call."). GPU: "NVIDIA GeForce 9100 ", Driver: 8.16.0011.8780 10/30/2009 19:01:10 . Free virtual memory: 4292823680kB / 4294967168kB. Total resource memory: 0kB. Make sure you have supported graphics card with at least 512 MB.
then GW stops working and "Window is trying to fix it"
My computer isn't made for gaming and i dont have a graphics card, would i have to buy it since i already bought the game?
Specs:
Windows 7 Home Premium
Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) II(2?) X4 620 Processor 2.60 GHz
Installed memory (RAM) 8.00 GB (7.75 GB usable)
System type 64-bit Operating System
Uhh i dont know what else to put, this is honestly my first time typing in my specs so sorry if i left something out.

If the best you have on your machine is only a "9100", that is an old and very weak machine. The various Intel video chips currently in production far surpass that antique's performance, and aren't good enough. Sorry, you'll have to use a newer and better machine than that.

So I suppose I should do the "refund" thingy on origin since my computer can't handle it

Ok, KGaming, you Graphics Card does not have enough dedicated memory to run the game and with your setup being Laptop based, you will need to upgrade it to play this game.
xGalGirlx - Your system is more than enough specification wise to play the game and Windows 7 is a very stable "base" operating system.
I can take you through a trouble shooting process that I have used for all of my games when they become unstable.
Instead of just uninstalling the game and trying to install it again, I think we should test to see if it installed all of the required prerequisites (Extra software that is needed for the game to run)
The first thing to do is Close down Origin and then to go into your Origin games folder: In Windows 7 64bit this can normally be found here : C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games
In origin game go into the PVZ : GW game folder and inside that folder you should see another folder that is named something similar to this : __Installer
In that folder, please go into the \__Installer\directx\redist and double click (run) the DXSETUP - This will make sure that Directx did in fact install properly.
Once done then go to \__Installer\vc\vc2008sp1\redist - if it not the same as this just make sure it is the redist folder and then run the 64bit version, it probably will not tell you if it has installed or not but wait at least 30 seconds.
Once you have done this, run Origin and try and run the game.
If it does not work again, could you post any error messages you get please?
Many thanks

Thank's for the response, since I don't have enough money to upgrade my computer, I'll find a use for the game eventually.
