I really dislike the rank feature, and personally would like the option to hide my rank to everyone else. Wh not give people the option to hide it from others online? What could possibly be wrong with that? I'm sure others will agree or disagree but if they want everyone to see their own rank that's fine. The number means nothing other than how much time you've spent levelling different classes. Reply with yes or no. If you're indifferent and don't care then I'm sure you'd like the option of being able to hide it 😉

@CJackson5083 Well in that case, nobody is going to look at someone's rank, walk as close as possible to them, try and remember what the high ranker was called, look at their name in the middle of a gun fight and decide to run or not...you can only see name tags when you're virtually on top of someone. What you said before and what you're saying now is irrelevant to what I replied with. You're just trying to find something negative to say about a perfectly good suggestion, and failing. 🙂 If player names were visible to everyone in the map at all times, then maybe that would be the case. It isn't like this unless you have mad hax.

I'd say No. Never really given it too much thought though. If I stay in a lobby I usually have a quick look, mainly to see if there are any really huge numbers. I'm always amazed at how quickly people level up. I myself am a plodder, dont care about people below or above me - its all pretty relative though. What I really wish is that they would add a bit of variety in the ranking badges, mostly all the same colour with limited variety in symbols - its all a bit plain. Even from the Beta I was hoping it would be really vibrant.

It's one of those things you don't notice, but definitely would if it were missing. And then you would start to wonder, what is this person trying to hide???? To me, it's fine as-is.

That's what I want to avoid, the no life cheater comments.

Not that I ever get them, but it's something that has bothered me since GW1. When levelling for the Unicorn I am there doing challenges and sometimes respawning 50 times in a game just to get the challenge done, and other low level players are racking up kills. At the end of the game, I look like a complete noob because my rank is so much higher but they got so many more kills. Solely because I'm doing challenges.

Thats kinda why I dislike the rank being there, even in other games I feel the same way, it's pointless. Meaningless...

Nobody knows what classes you've levelled up or anything, and because 5000 is so big, it looks and feels ridiculous. If you were Rank 25 as opposed to 2507, then it'd look cooler, I just don't like the ridiculously massive number, but at the same time I want to level up everything.

Even noticed a mistske, it says you can achieve a maximum of rank 100 when playing when actually it's 10, again to stop people botting up to max.

Since your level is twice mine, I have over 200 hours in the game but I've been doing other things as well as mostly idling because I have fun standing around doing absolutely nothing. How do you feel about having a massive number next to your name?

Since we're talking about ranks, what's the highest rank you have come across thus far? I was in a game with someone ranked 3355 or something close to that. And that was before the game had even been out a month! They'll probably max out by next week! I've just barely broke 900. 🤒
