100% agreed. I feel that @GammaX6 summed it up succinctly as always, but healing and reviving needs more xp. I do like that critical heals give extra xp but the baseline is too low in the first place. Healers should be more greatly rewarded and reviving too. I had top healer for the Zombies (sunflower won the overall boast) as a scientist over the weekend as I focused heavily on it for the entire match, only got a couple of vanquishes as I stuck to healing, and was third from the bottom on a full team of 12. This is going to discourage healers, not encourage them.
If you're willing to focus on keeping your team healthy, you should be suitably rewarded for it. The current xp levels are too low to truly encourage this, which is counter-intuitive and counterproductive.

As an addendum to my last post, notice that even though they nerfed it from the rather crazy 50, the xp Citrons get from shielding is 10 xp per tick (12 with the xp upgrade), yet with the xp upgrade equipped you get only 3 or 6 for healing and critical healing respectively. It should at least be on par with shielding, if not more.
- 7 years ago@Iron_Guard8 Mmm, and having mastered Sunflower, I replaced my levelling upgrade in favour of ones to try & help me heal better! I currently have Super Saviour, Refreshing Revive, Bloom & atm I'm trialling Shove. I did have the Full Bloom on for a while but that's buggy & even harder to direct where you want it to go. I understand the point of the levelling ugrade, but I do think it's kind of a shame that choosing more "selfless" upgrades reduces xp for helping others.

I mean... they went through the effort of nerfing down healers so they focus on staying with their team more... they broke down the classes into attack, defense and healing, and then they give no incentive to actually play your role lol. Healing = SQUAT in terms of exp and thus coins. 3xp per heal tick!? REALLY Popcap!? It should be 10-20 exp. Also why nerf citrons shield? Blocking isn't fun... in fact it sucks. Compared to playing a peashooter hopping around like a maniac and getting kills, playing defense is NOT FUN. It should have remained a good way to level up!
Put much more emphasis on rewarding healers and tanks respectively, and stop making vanquishes the end all, be all. One match in ops, i DOMINATED every medal but the vanquish one, and i mean each and every one. Still lost out to someone who had just a few more kills. I dominated on assists, heals, potted plants just to get shafted because homie was a Peashooter...

Oh and i disagree with Gamma, sure you should get more exp for healing at more critical times, but that doesn't excuse the 3xp for overheals, healing isn't exactly "fun" especially when compared to raw DPS and topping vanquish charts. As thus, it should be rewarded. Overhealing, while not as critical as saving someone in a fight, or reviving them, is still supporting your team. It's value should NOT fall below that of a person purely farming kills. As a healer you are your teams backbone, if anything you should get more incentive, not less. This is how MMO's fill their healer roles, and its worked since 1999 for me.
