I do twice as much healing with Sunflower than I do with Scientist. Maybe I'm just not as good with Scientist, but his main heals seem weak and with little range. He's absolutely more powerful on offence, but at the expense of not being anywhere near as good as a healer IMO.
I agree with you about Sunflower's beam, cos even when I've tried to be as sneaky as possible with my positioning, I quickly get targeted when I start using it, and like you said, it just seems like a death sentence more than anything. It's the kind of thing that would work in Overwatch with a Reinhardt or Orisa shield in front of you, but in this game I'll often go an entire match without even trying to use it once, just cos I know what happens when I do, lol.

@SigmaTheDJ Exactly, the scientist excels in combat, he's very deadly, one of the best zombie's combat wise IMO, but he SUCKS at healing. There is NOTHING to encourage scientists to heal their teammates. The sticky heal bomb is MUCH better saved for YOURSELF while you are two shotting an enemy with your lethal shot gun.
All in all, the problem here is that the sunflower sucks at fighting, is pretty good at healing, and the scientist is incredibly good at fighting, but is terrible at healing. The scientist has ALWAYS had this problem, even in garden warfare 1 and 2. He's always been better off played as an assassin.... Which... well the healer/support probably shouldn't be going around two shotting everyone and warping out then instantly full healing.
