Hi everyone,

I am going to attach my Sunflower Character challenge tips on this thread. By completing all of her challenges, you can net yourself a total of 15 prize bulbs without including any extra XP you earn during these character challenges or any daily challenges you may also complete. Very useful for making progress and/or obtaining Rose's Thorn Apart legendary upgrade and costume/s.

If you need help with these challenges, would like some challenge tips or simply want advice, feel free to look here!

  • The character challenges tips that I have for Sunflower are as follows:

    Earn 5,000 XP as Sunflower.

If you would like to earn this challenge faster, use the Levelling Up upgrade as you gain 10% more XP from any action that grants more than 5 original XP at a time (if you do 5 or less you don't get any extra due to rounding). This upgrade does work even if your Sunflower s completely mastered at Grandmaster 5 (confirmation needed) For this challenge, simply play the game. You are likely to complete this challenge before the rest of the other Sunflower challenges, so hopefully you will obtain this challenge before the others. Ops and Skirmishes are a good option for completing this challenge as 2-3 successful matches of either should net you this challenge. Heal other plants and pots to improve your chances of completing this challenge faster. In PvP, aiming for healing and revives, as well as vanquishes wherever you can, is ideal.

    Vanquish 100 Enemies with Sunbeam.

What a big challenge! This is a lot of vanquishes, so it's probably best if you steer away from PvP for this one, as this can take hours of gameplay to complete. You can easily be vanquished while using the Sunbeam and there is a delay before you can start shooting. It is best to complete this challenge through Ops or in Giddy Park, as there are generally lots of Browncoats and TV Head Zombies. If doing this in Ops, you probably don't want to place many pots as they may take your vanquishes while you are using Sunbeam. Skirmishes and Battle Chests are probably less effective for this challenge but can still get the job done, however it may take longer to complete. Remember if you are knocked out of Sunbeam or if you cancel it the refresh time is reduced if you have used less of it. Upgrades that could help you complete this challenge include:

    • Recharge, it costs 4 upgrade points, by dealing damage with Sunbeam, its duration gets extended.
    • Vampire Flower, it costs 2 upgrade points, you gain health when you deal damage, including in Sunbeam.
    • Critical Blow, it costs 3 upgrade points, Sunbeam and your other abilites refresh times are reduced by 3 seconds when you earn a critical vanquish.
    • Refreshing Revive, it costs 1 upgrade point, Sunbeam and your other abilites refresh times are reduced when you revive an ally. Good in battle chests.

    Earn 25 Heal Beam Assists.

To gain points towards this challenge, you must be healing an ally that gets a vanquish. If an ally that gets a vanquish (including shared, needs confirmation) is being healed by you, you get points for this challenge. Even if they are full health, you simply must be hooked to them. This is probably best in PvP or Battle Chests as you can keep your Heal Beam on an ally and you can deal damage to an enemy that an ally is attacking to improve your chances of earning the heal assist. You can earn heal assists and shared vanquishes at the same time, so don't be afraid to deal lots of damage, you just need to make sure they get a shared or direct vanquish so that you earn the heal assist. You can't do this in Sunbeam as you can't heal anyone in this ability. Ops and Giddy Park work for this as well, but you will need to hook up to pots or Wildflowers and allow them to earn the vanquish. And remember if an ally you are healing gets vanquished you can always attempt to revive them! Upgrades that could help you complete this challenge include:

    • Blossom, it costs 5 upgrade points, you can heal 2 allies at once if they are close together to improve your chances of getting heal assists, or getting heal assists faster.
    • Full Bloom, it costs 3 upgrade points (needs confirmation), your range of your Heal Beam is improved, allowing you to keep a safer distance from an enemy.
    • Cocoon, it costs 3 upgrade points, you can give your ally extra overhealth, making them more durable in combat and less likely to be vanquished. Great if you pair with Pocket Protection.
    • Pocket Protection, it costs 3 upgrade points, when you heal an ally, you heal as well, but at a lesser rate. It improves your chance of survival as enemies may target you first

Get 200 Healing on Allies in Critical Condition.

This challenge requires you to achieve 200 health worth of healing while an ally is critically low health, which is signified by an exclamation mark above their head. It doesn't really matter where you do this in, in Battle Chests and PvP do it to your ally heroes. In Ops do it with your Pots (note they don't heal naturally so it could prove effective). In Skirmishes you can do it with your allies that spawn in. It's hard to do it in Giddy Park with the Wildflowers as they have low health. The trick is to try and wait until an ally gets low, and then heal them. This is more effective with higher health allies (such as Citron and Oak) as you give them more healing before they are "no longer critically low in health". Hopefully the Oak would have Hardened equipped. With pots in Ops and other modes, if you see a pot with critical health, take your time to heal it up to full health. Just make sure that when trying to do this challenge, you look out for icons with the exclamation mark, as it means they are critically low in health. Upgrades that could help you complete this challenge include:

    • Sunslinger, it costs 4 upgrade points, if you are healing a target, and they are low or critically low in health, your heal rate on them is increased.
    • NOTE: You could also use speed upgrades like Rollout, Hard Target or Speedy to get to your critically low health allies much faster, incase they are vanquished.

    Get 30 Revives.

This may seem like a lot of revives, but it can be achieved with time and patience. You can only achieve this in Battle Chests and in PvP modes, unless playing with someone else. It's best to not heal your allies and let them get vanquished, so that you can revive them. By healing them, you are greatly reducing their chances of being vanquished and therefore being able to earn a revive. For this reason, it's probably much nicer to do this in Battle Chests so you don't annoy your PvP allies (if you do so in PvP, I advise to heal them and revive someone if they naturally get vanquished). Wait for your allies to get vanquished, then make haste to go for the revive. Make sure to also watch the kill feed so you know who is being vanquished. Also the Plus Icons that you see on-screen that appear above vanquished allies' heads is something you should look out for. Another quick tip is that if you have time, just before the revive, activate one charge of your Sunny Side Up to keep you healed while performing the revive, and increase your survivability. Also Super Saviour is an excellent upgrade to use alongside this challenge. Upgrades that could help you complete this challenge include:

    • Super Saviour, it costs 1 upgrade point, you can jump without restriction and use any of your abilities (such as Sunny Side Up) while reviving an ally. Just make sure not to leave the revive circle during the process and the Al have Aimbot so be careful if doing this in a Battle Chest. This is almost a must-have upgrade, as you are much more vulnerable if you don't use this upgrade.
    • Refreshing Revive, it costs 1 upgrade point, when you revive an ally, your ability refresh times are reduced.
    • Revive Reward, it costs 2 upgrade points, when you revive an ally, you gain 75 health. You can gain overhealth as a result. Just note overhealth dissipates overtime.
    • Vampire Flower, it costs 2 upgrade points, by dealing damage during the revive, you can gain some health to increase your survival odds.
    • NOTE: You could also use speed upgrades like Rollout, Hard Target or Speedy to get to your fallen allies faster before they respawn.

I hope to see you all in my next character challenge guide, and I hope that these tips helped you out! 🙂
