Nah, I wouldn't say that the Sunflowers would be the least played out of every class out there. However, there are in fact a Sunflower that nobody ever uses that much which would be just the Metal Petal. Personally, I see myself in 19/20 games the only person that uses the Metal Petal...I mean, if you like supporting a lot why not Metal Petal right?

Here's a list on what characters that barely of people play:

• Astronaut
• Toxic Chomper
• Metal Petal
• Mechanic

Sure you'll meet some of these characters from time to time, but eventually, they'll switch to one that many people are using. Ex: Marine Biologist, Plumber, or Armor Chomper.

Note: Anything that I use in the examples is not or will never be a character that is better then most characters in the game.

To be fair, Toxic Chomper and Metal Petal both require level 10; and their base class aren't as popular as some of the other available. So it's natural that they will have less usage than most of the other characters encountered.

No one actually knows what will get nerfed/buffed in future updates, but character popularity is generally a good indication of what we can expect.

In my experience, the sunflower is the least used in the games I've played. Nobody really wants to heal unless it's part of their level up requirements. Every other plant has overly useful offensive alternatives, most of which are one use kills. 

Peashooter has the chili bomb.

Cactus has the potato mines and the drone with corn strike.

Chomper has the spikeweeds and goop.

All of those are extremely useful defensively to instantly stop a zombie. The dark flower pot that the sunflower has is ok, but it's just as useless as any potted plant for the most part. The heal flower pot is also nice, but it doesn't stop zombies. I would personally rather use the chomper 10 times out of 10 over the sunflower.

Every single one of those plants you listed are actually some of the most useful for their class.

- Astronaut has arguably one of the best ranged attacks for zombies... only negated by the poor zoom level for what is generally a close quarter class. It may actually have the most consistently accurate shot.

- Metal Petal is probably the highest raw damage per shot aside from the one with the charged shot. I see them frequently, when I do see the rare Sunflower. They also have the most challenges specific to them out of all the Sunflowers.

- Mechanic is the only Engineer without splash damage, but the most useful Engineer against teams using drones.

- Toxic Chomper is the one Chomper with the most character specific challenges for the Chompers and because of that, I see them frequently.

One more question, what is difference between standart healing beam and rainbow healing?

Hopefully EA does nerf/buff the right characters. EA must make people play other variants of characters other than the casual Toxic Peashooter, Marine Biologist, etc. The people in this game has to learn that there are better characters then just those. Just because you see many people using it or that a Youtuber is recommending so & so character doesn't mean it's the best character out there.

The nerf/buff on characters won't really affect me too much since I know how to use 95% of all characters, but all am hoping from EA is

"getting some rewards for reaching the new max level this time other than rank looks."

Rainbow healing looks awesome compared to the standard healing beam. They both seem to have very little to no difference at all when it comes to healing. They both heal at the same rate it seems. All in all, it seems more like a skin for the heal beam.

Nuffin' , the rainbow only looks like a rainbow and the normal one doesnt, it even says it in the discription of the power.
