I 100% agree with the original post...any game where the objective is to stand in an area to capture it is ruined by having a character that can just hit a button and cant be easily damaged...
Some games are descending into teams of superbrainz jumping into the garden and hitting 'spin to win'...
I'm fine with a spin attack that does damage to all nearby players and it pulls in players to keep up the damage...but remove the damage reduction...it is over the top...

But he need the damage reduction. He mostly stand in a point making himself easy to target, the point of that skills are not the damage but the fact you can tank for your team!

Super Brainz is a slow, bulky character that is very easy to hit from a distance. If you let him get that close, you deserve to get vanquished. Plants also have several counters for it - Rose has two of them! I can't see why anyone would have this problem unless they are trying to out-damage Super Brainz at melee range.

Cactus does have a counter, a well placed wall or two creates separation.
About the only person making complete sense here is sskaggs89.
The 'only' change Brainz needs, if any, is nerfing the dmg arc on electro brainz ring.
