@PineapplePiano If they remove shockwave damage from it they should increase its normal range. it hardly ever works. It can be extremely close to a zombie without dealing any damage. It just produces unnecessary knock back.
@GutmanSca Yes, Cratemaker is predictable, but that doesn't help in my experience. When using Cratermaker Space Station is super fast, you often can't escape even when sprinting. And the Assimilation upgrade is just crazy op. Another thing I consider is the game modes: nearly all of them feature you trying to capture a very small point. When playing the weekly mode, I encountered Space Station camping at the points and using this upgrade. As soon as someone got close, they activated Cratermaker, got a vanquish, had their fuel reset and continued. This way they could take down the entire plant team. I consider Oak to be a joke against Space Station, as I have detailed in another post.
And I think you are right about normal sap tap. It is very fast to deploy, but it "only" does 65 damage if properly aimed. This means you still have to get most zombies down to half health in order to vanquish someone with it. If you use sap trap first and then try to vanquish them by using sap tap, they will sprint away. Sap trap isn't good compared to all other zombie insta-kills. And Sap Trap is terrible as Acorn Passengers, because you can't aim with it. Dockt Space Cadets get a rocket they can precisely aim and that does way more damage than Sap trap.
Oak's Super sap trap has a delay and is rather slow and is therefore predictable. In my opinion, it is rendered useless after the May patch and nothing compared to Cratermaker.
Weird to hear it works properly for you. For me it only works like 20% of the time. I fire it directly at a zombie, it even attaches to him, but it still does zero damage and only produces the annoying knock back.
