Rose is there hitting 2s and 3s and Engineer is there hitting 40s.
I'm not at all saying that Engineer needs a Nerf but it's a support class able to go and tear * up. Many a time I've gone into a group full of plants and wrecked all with stun grenade and primary weapon. If things get heated I'm outta there on my jackhammer?
Great support class balance there.

Yeah, no. He only has 1 real form of cc, and that's a really closed range form of CC - meaning he can usually only use it for his own sake.
If you use blow horn mines you have three shots at CC. He is considered a support character because most of his variants do splash damage and he is capable of long range suppression.
Also I've thrown his Stun Grenade pretty far, from high places and if you aim high.
Im not at all suggesting Nerf Engineer, as I like the class, and players love the splash. But if he can hit 40s and shoot faster than the Peashooter, why can't Rose do the same? Instead you need to charge her shot that takes like 3 seconds, she's slowed, and the thing travels slower than any Engineer variant. What gives?
Rose was fine, all they had to do was lower the damage or lower the homing potential, but now they severed every limb she had. Now she's crippled and compared to Engineer, an absolute joke.
Druid hits 2s and 3s, Engineer hits 40s. I think there is a slight imbalance here, don't you think? Anyway, I've thought up better suggestions in my other thread. This one can be temporarily closed, or ignored for now.
lets be balanced about this, to out dps the rose the engineer has to do two things...
1. actually aim manually and hit directly
2. have some semblance of skill with no cc available other than a 2s sonic grenade
i cant believe your actually comparing Rose and Engineer, they are not the same, they are both support roles sure, but the engineer requires infintely more skill to use

Rose requires the most skill of all to use post patch, she's so bad. You need to wake up and stop trolling.
I had almost 200 Assists in one game with my Engineer. How is that hard to play? You NEED to aim with Rose, you DO NOT need to aim with Engineer.
Of course I can compare the two, since Pirate is a much better copy of Cactus, Scientist is a much better copy of Sunflower, Engineer is a much better copy of Rose.

Of course you need to aim with the Engineer, if you want to kill someone. Splash damage alone will not succeed in most cases. Are you suggesting that classes with splash damage require no aiming? Majority of which are plant variants, by the way.

Rose, Sunflower, Cactus, Peashooter, Corn, Citron...
Actually you need to aim with every class bar the Chomper, and then you need to precisely aim your Goop else you probably won't get many kills.

What I am saying is, due to the splash and area damage most of the variations of the Engineer have, no you don't need to aim very well, at all.
Maybe you haven't unlocked them yet, I've mastered half of them in a little over two hours...I wasn't aiming, I was hitting the floor and anything around my cursor but I sure as heck wasn't aiming...every shot is like Iron Citron but better, faster firing, more AOE splash, dot effects...
Its borderline broken, actually I may even say he is but I'll make too many Zombie players upset?
Edit: Ah, when I said Engineer, I was referring to him and almost all his variations, and this could be misunderstood. My error, I actually meant some of the variations 🙂

I have all but most legendary unlocked, actually (import ftw) and am at about level 1042 I believe. But, it actually sounds like you are trying to prove that the Engineer is the optimal character for gathering XP, which is true. Splash damage can give you a ton of experience. In that same sense, Pea shooter is great for gathering experience also, because he has the same exact shot variants as all the engineers and does splash damage on almost all of them too.

Peashooter isn't a support class, it was the main Plant class, supposed to be front line attacker. In which now, compared to most of the zombies now is a little weakling. I see him that way when I'm playing a zombie...sure he has Hyper but once that's used he might as well be yellow and transform into a duck. I say this because that's how I feel when I play him...
This thread was made to compare Rose and Engineer, teleport building support classes...
Engineer is now a class that hits like a truck and can 2-3 shot almost everything, with poor aiming. After he builds a teleport he's like, where's them plants?! After Rose builds a teleport she's like where can I hide!
Engineer is like the anti-Chomper, but with new variants it pretty much capable of annihilating every plant now...how is that fair?
Whether you used the coin glitch or got extremely lucky is irrelevant here, class balance is what I'm wanting to discuss. Compared to Engineer, Rose is a joke, her variants hit 2s and Engineers variants hit 40s. That's my point, even Peashooter doesn't hit as hard as Engineers variants.
Edit: The thread suggests the base Engineer when really I'm referring to variants, and Rose variants...trying to compare like for like.
