@marche567 I would not switch teams to a side that has more players.
The problem does exist. People switch early to stay on a side with better players. That’s the problem.

I think experimenting with removing "switch teams" for a while would be interesting and would hopefully make gameplay better, and would generally change some peoples' playstyles.

They dont need to take away the "switch teams" option, just normally autoteambalance the team when someone with bigger lvl die like in Counter Strike, if you die, the game automatically switch you to the team with less/lower players and you cant switch back, thats the way i think.
- 6 years ago@marche567 This probably isn't a very obvious problem at the moment, because of all of the new players who've recently joined - which means the lobbies are full.
The problem happens when the lobbies AREN'T full, which had been happening a lot. Players would switch to the other team because it had stronger players, or because the other team were winning (or for whatever other reason) and that would create an unbalanced lobby.
So, where the game started as 6 vs 6, for example, it could suddenly become 4 vs 8. In that situation, the team with fewer players stands little chance, and people get frustrated and drop out.
This is something that has really been causing serious problems, unfortunately 😖- 6 years ago@ToastedSarnie How is that possible if when the opposing team has more players and you try to switch it doesnt let you because you can only switch teams if you are in the outnumbering team , so a 6v6 can at most turn into a 5v7 not a 4v8

@marche567A lot of the problems start with a minor imbalance as you say, then get worse as people leave & join, as new joiners have the ability to switch & will mostly automatically choose the stronger side.
Hope that makes a bit more sense!ADDED: @Positronic-Rift
There are a couple of options we've discussed in the past that might help with this.
1) Anyone joining a match after it's started should automatically be placed on the team with fewest players, WITHOUT an option to switch teams
2) If people drop out creating an imbalance, there could be some kind of incentive offered for players to switch as needed to ensure teams are even
3) The lobbies are repopulated by AIs until a new player joins and replaces them - this is something that was introduced into the Soil Survivors town hall event in GW2 quite successfully
