good : Well, I found this boss hunt to be fun (only one I did before was the previous one - Sasquatch).
There are also a lot of crazy good random players, I've almost beat hard (boss had like 2-3% health left) with a group of random people yesterday and again today we went pretty close in craazy mode (15-20% health left).
bad : Too many kids playing this. I know it's a pretty stupid statement, but almost every kid playing this game are loud, annoying, only want to play with a certain character and only want to do one position. I can't count how many games were we had three players on top because one did not want to attack the guardian, same with the games where you see no scientists because people are favoring the Imp (lolwat seriously?).
The unbalanced squash AI... In some games the squash keept getting on the rooftop while in some case (most of the time when I was anchoring) I never saw him get up there.
The fact that a toxic brainz is NEEDED to win on hard and craazy. This is just plain bs. I was playing with some hardcore gamers yesterday and after 5-6 tries we gave up on hard because we were never able to do it, because we didn't have a toxic brainz. I get that the character is OP, but the game should not punish us for not having this one character.
The citrons and vampire sunflowers shooting you from across the board when playing with a short range scientist, super annoying. Specially when the two anchor players are both using scientists.
ugly : Waay too many clueless players. It's really taking a tall on me playing with guys who keep attacking the boss the whole game without any knowledge of what to do.
Players who sets the difficulty on hard or craazy then leave right after... Ugh, trolls.
Tackle Dummies placed on the stairs will completely block the Squash from coming up onto the rooftop. The Squash will not attack it cannot break it by simply bumping up against it.
Of course the other Plants can come along and destroy them but until that happens the Tackle Dummies will completely block the Squash; with the exception of once where I placed a Dummy and the Squash had some sort of fit which cause him to start leaping higher than the building tops two or three times before landing on the roof this worked every time.
Toxic Brainz also is not a requirement for Hard or Crazy mode; I assisted some newer players on both difficulties by playing a Moto-X All Star, with an Engineer and two Scientists. A properly played and supported Toxic Brainz does make it easier though, but if you're having a string of games where the Squash keeps coming onto the rooftop consider adding an All Star to the mix.

In regards to the Squash camping the Anchor points there is something of a preventative;

This is probably the most painful part of this boss hunt. I had two epic attempts a few days ago where the Squash was making rounds on the roof for ten minutes straight. We didn't take down the guardian once, but I was using toxic brainz. I have found the all-star to be much more effective in this boss hunt overall.
His abilities are great and cooldown quickly for taking out hordes of weeds and chomp things which seem to be really OP in this boss hunt.

Ha! I remember when that happened, I think it was that time we beat crazy. He was REALLY determined to kill us.- Anonymous9 years agoJust wanted to mention about entering the portal as a group. The only time we had issues ( group gets thrown back into their own backyards or only one member gets placed in a game) was when someone other than the group leader entered the portal first. Is that where the issue lies or were we just lucky?
