The mystery of Three Nuts

I'm going straight to the point, what's wrong with this plant? why is so rebellious? it's so unpredictable

I hope some genius in this forum tells me how to deal with it.

First case:

Mixed Nuts  (LOL, wtf, who uses that card? , yes, me)

I will copy exactly what each one says:

Mixed: When played: This gets +2/+2 if there's a Plant with Team-Up(in blue) here.

Three Nuts: When you play a Plant, that Plant's (strength) becomes +3.

so my little brain thought: i will gets a Mixed with 3/2, and then gets +2/+2 so finally becomes 5/4.

but that did not happen, I did not believe it, I had to force the situation in a random game to see if it happened again. And yes, it happened.

so I'm wondering why the lazy Three Nut does not do anything? if doesn't even wiggle like  always does.

Second case, quite similar:

Magnifying Grass, it has worried me enough, if in case of obtaining a large amount of attack with respect to the sun of the turn... so Three Nut can return it to 3?

the answer is no... the reason? no idea, but when you play Magnifying Grass (Isn't a plant?) Three Nut does not even move a finger, oh sorry, I meant doesn't move a leaf, or a shell of his body.

  •  Third case:

    Black Hole zombie environment

During a game, the enemy has placed a Pear, the Black Hole actives his ability to move that Pear, but, (notice in this case Three Nuts did want to work) that Pear becomes 3, but, ''Plants here gets -1'', wtf, really? it seems that Pear was not really there, Three Nut actually puts  in a parallel universe and that's why gets 3... that plants maintain that 3, wooooow, that's rough, poor Black Hole...

    Plants 1

    Zombie 0

     Fourth case:

    Cornucopia (LOL, this was hilarious)

i played Cornucopia when all the lanes were empty, BUT, Cornucopia had the very bad idea of summons Three Nuts, that we already know that is has impressive bipolarity problems.

Well, Three appears in the lane one, Dark MatterDragon Fruit apears in the lane three, obviously with 6/6, and yes, Three nut got mad, and DM DragonFruit becomes 3/6,  (ThreeNuts is envious), but, Cornucopia also summons two more plants: Cattail and the another that i don't remember the name. Both have 2 of strength, of course they need the 3 buff, but Three Nut did nothing hahahahahahahahahaha LOL, WTF!!!

The funny thing was to see how he shook himself to change the 6 of Dragonfruit, that clearly bothered it.

  • The dragonfruit scenario is like onion rings, great if it changes a weenie beanie to 4, but not so great if it changes your dragonfruit to 4. You need to becareful as to when it's played. The nuts team up is always hit and miss. I would say some of the issue is bug, and some of is the mixed. Ability of 3 nut. Wiki, will give a breakdown of what this silly nut is good for, and bad for. Nuts are due to be improved in set 4, so stick with the nuts as they are good for you. Except when someone takes them away in a straight jacket. 😜

I can tell you that I have had similar experiences with the black hole, if you notice, dragonfruit and the pear are both 3 strength, the only explanation for that is the threenuts effect happened after the blackholes.
The cornacopia makes no sense to me why it would only affect the dragonfruit and not the cattail or sea shroom, especially when they are all in lanes that would be affected after the dragonfruit.
I have had some issues with it myself, and anytime I am unsure about the outcome, I go to random battle until I get the results, good or bad. Like the tricorn evolution for example. I thought the same as you did for mixed nuts, but nope.
It is good for weeny decks, buffing plants to avoid weedspray and rolling stone, but like buddy mentioned, onion rings are the same type of problem if you're playing with a lot of heavy hitters.

Talking seriously, I think there are some glitches, but in reality they are not important or annoying, I've really laughed a lot, the post i made has been something just to entertain, Three Nut is made for decks like Bean/Nut decks or Astroshroom decks, really to dodge Weed Spray removal trick.

    Genius boi incoming!

Short answer: Three-Nut is the Pecanolith for the poor.

Long answer: The way I see it, you play Three-Nut for two reasons:

1.- To help your nut deck survive Weed Spray (obviously)

but 2.- Gives you a way so your most-of-the-time useless-high-health-no-attack plants can do something useful besides tanking damage.

    It's like... Spineapple 2.0.

The idea is, you play this card and hope it survives. The following turns you can make your usually-useless Mirror-Nut into a really decent card. Worst case scenario, you play a simple Nut (the one that costs 1 sun) and it becomes a less powerful version of a Wing-Nut. That's the idea.

Imagine how terrifying can be a Prickly Pear that can actually kill you, and that you can just buff the health out of it to make it a 3/8 with team-up.

    That's how you play it.

(Or you can continue self-nerfing your Darkmatter for the luls, that can do as well.)

It is a great card, pitifully, and I really dont know why... they puts that effect in all cards, well, almost all,  as i said, Magnifying is not affected for some reason, but others plants like Dark Matter, yes they are affected.

It would be great if the text said: ''When you play a plant with 2 or less, becomes 3'' . 😉😉

I resent the comment stating that MirrorNut is usually useless. Only time I can see is if you don't have nuts...
  • Not totally useless, but spending 4 suns on a 0/6 is not great. The Zombie hero can play something like a 4/3 for that amount (or just kill your 4 cost plant with a 1 cost trick, in which that case is like you just gave your opponent a free turn.)

I agree that his stats aren't great, but he's a 0/6 that I rarely use up front as a blocker, and generally speaking, usually in an all nut deck.
I just saw the chance for a nut joke lol
