The REAL Questions

I've put together a list of questions that I feel are in desperate need of answering. All these questions are absolutely serious, and could very well alter the way I view this game as a whole.

Please give any answers you can to the following...

Rose is almost always seen holding a wand made from woven branches and sticks. Would this not be the equivalent of a person waving about a detached human limb?

Is the Octo-Pet a zombie octopus, or a regular octopus?

Why is the Plantern a 'root' plant, if others such as Torchwood and Poison Oak show the same/more roots than the Plantern, but are only regarded as 'trees'?

Yetis are considered to be pets in this game. Is this assuming that Yetis are pets in real life?

Why is Sunflower Seed considered a flower, when it is only a seed?

Are Imps zombies that turned into babies, or babies of zombies, or just an example of a zombified society with an unusual number of very short people?

Gargantuar mimes use a french baguette as a weapon, and yet are not considered to be gourmet zombies. Is this assuming that french baguettes are not food in real life?

How come the eyes of the Banana Split are on the inside the peel, while the eyes of the Banana Launcher are on the outside?

Stupid Cupid has wings. Why can't he fly over water? (Actually, I may have answered that one myself)

Hippity Hoppity Gargantuar possesses two different types of food, and yet he is not gourmet. He is however a Pet, but would that not indicate that Team Mascot should be a Pet also?

How do the glasses worn by the Zombie Middle Manager not fall off his face?

Why, in the flavour text of the Zombot Battle Cruiser 5000, is there no mentioning of the pilot's record of being the smallest zombie in
the whole dang world?

Stealthy Imp is a pirate. Is this assuming that anyone who hides behind wheelie bins wearing a mask, is a pirate in real life?

Why has Blowgun Imp covered his body in what he is trying to defeat?

If a Sharktronic Sub is a Pet, and a Space Pirate's robot monkey is a Pet, why isn't a Space Cowboy's mechanical horse a Pet?

Once again, if anyone has answers to any of these crucial questions, please let me know. Also, I'd be grateful if people would post any that I may have missed. Thank you.

Space Cowboys mech horse is indeed a pet.

I have always wondered about some of the classification of certain zombies especially, but some plants as well. Team mascot for me I have always thought it as imp pet, but that'll make way too many sports deck fanatics lay an egg....woooot!

But it must have to do with only two "tribes" per or so it seems, plank walker I have always thought of as the imp heavy, but nope...pirate/science, and many things with wings that are not amphibious... I can agree with the fact maybe they can't swim, but if they are flying, do they need to?

Anyways, I just wanted to straighten out the space cowboy thing, since he's one of my favourite cards, I play it enough to know that the zookeeper definitely likes when cowboy comes out to play. But aside from that, all I did was raise more questions
  • Rose is almost always seen holding a wand made from woven branches and sticks. Would this not be the equivalent of a person waving about a detached human limb?

It's more like a person waving a wand made of human bone.

Is the Octo-Pet a zombie octopus, or a regular octopus?

Neither.  Octo-Pet is a Lovecraftian horror beyond our understanding.

Why is the Plantern a 'root' plant, if others such as Torchwood and Poison Oak show the same/more roots than the Plantern, but are only regarded as 'trees'?

He lights the way to the root of the problem.

Yetis are considered to be pets in this game. Is this assuming that Yetis are pets in real life?

Yes, but they are considered "exotic pets", so individual countries or states may have their own laws about keeping and/or breeding them.

Why is Sunflower Seed considered a flower, when it is only a seed?

It's actually a fully-formed sunflower that has wrapped itself in seed husks for protection.

Are Imps zombies that turned into babies, or babies of zombies, or just an example of a zombified society with an unusual number of very short people?

For more details about Imps, please see the Basements & Bugbears Monster Manual entry, between "Immortal Rabbit" and "Internet Junkie".

Gargantuar mimes use a french baguette as a weapon, and yet are not considered to be gourmet zombies. Is this assuming that french baguettes are not food in real life?

Baguettes may technically be food, but they're certainly not gourmet.

How come the eyes of the Banana Split are on the inside the peel, while the eyes of the Banana Launcher are on the outside?

Banana Splits and Banana Launchers may have some superficial similarities, but they're actually completely unrelated, biologically.

Stupid Cupid has wings. Why can't he fly over water? (Actually, I may have answered that one myself)

Cupid is actually part Vampire (on his mom's side), and thus can't cross bodies of water.

Hippity Hoppity Gargantuar possesses two different types of food, and yet he is not gourmet. He is however a Pet, but would that not indicate that Team Mascot should be a Pet also?

If HHG wants to be a pet, I'm certainly not going to tell him he's wrong.

How do the glasses worn by the Zombie Middle Manager not fall off his face?

    Magnets.

Why, in the flavour text of the Zombot Battle Cruiser 5000, is there no mentioning of the pilot's record of being the smallest zombie in
    the whole dang world?

He's not.  The smallest zombie ever recorded was Lord Hubert Quincy Brainsington, who was so small that it is technically impossible for him to have been made of any matter.

Stealthy Imp is a pirate. Is this assuming that anyone who hides behind wheelie bins wearing a mask, is a pirate in real life?

Ninjas and Pirates have been feuding for ages.  Stealthy Imp is biding his time and playing both sides until a clear victor emerges.

Why has Blowgun Imp covered his body in what he is trying to defeat?

Yeah, I don't understand how an outfit made out of the skins of defeated foes ever made it past the censors.

If a Sharktronic Sub is a Pet, and a Space Pirate's robot monkey is a Pet, why isn't a Space Cowboy's mechanical horse a Pet?

Why do you automatically assume the horse is subservient to the Space Cowboy?

I must say, your answers have been very helpful @jj48car. I think I may finally come to an understanding about most of the games unclear motives now.

However, a single remaining query has cropped up in my mind regarding the so-called 'Pet Yetis'. From what I am aware of, the Zombie Hero, Brain Freeze is often regarded as a Yeti, and therefore presumably a pet also (This is clear, as his legendary super power, Frozen Tundra, features only Brain Freeze himself generating an icy cold blizzard, and yet is deemed a Pet Superpower Trick). However, Frozen Tundra does not possess the 'Monster' tribe, which would make it seem that he is in fact not a Yeti at all, as all other Yetis are described quite clearly as monsters.

This would indicate that Brain Freeze, while being "a domestic or tamed animal kept for companionship or pleasure" in fact has very little else distinguishing him from something like a cat, or a chicken. Despite this, Brain Freeze is regarded as having a similar level of mental ability as a hero of a Brainy class, Immortica, who shares his skill of summoning clouds of acid rain, as well as baring in mind that fact that he can have pets of his own, such as other Yetis, which as the definition suggested above, require domestication, an act only able to be conducted by a sentient, non-domesticated being.

Can we not only assume from this knowledge that this challenged, fearful being commonly named Brain Freeze, is indeed being kept under similar rule and control to that of a pet, treatment which is not only dastardly inhumane, but also well beyond the margin of what is in legal and illegal?

If this is true, should we not be acting upon this crime? Exposing those who claim to own this sentient individual like some sort of slave? I'm on the verge of beginning a campaign!

@jj48car the baguettes bit I really did laugh out loud...nice one
Also kudos for the octopet and wand of bone is something I would figure Rose to be into...

And @UniVoidz I was thinking about it and then saw the middle manager and the first thing that came to mind was "obviously by the way his eye is bulging, they must be clamped around his eyeball. Probably why he is the way he is...
