Dear EA Support Team,
It has been over a week since I reached out to express my frustration with the state of Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2, and I have yet to receive any response or acknowledgment. As a paying customer, I expect a certain level of support and attention for the products that I purchase, regardless of their age.
Despite the issues that have been brought to your attention, it seems that nothing has been done to address the ongoing problems with the game. This lack of action is not only disappointing but also shows a lack of care and respect for your customers.
I understand that your team may have other priorities, but the issues with the game are not just minor inconveniences. They are major problems that affect the gameplay experience for many players, and they need to be addressed. It is unacceptable for a company to continue to charge money for a product without providing the necessary support to ensure that it functions properly.
At this point, I have come to expect that nothing may be done to fix the issues with the game. However, this does not change the fact that as a loyal customer, I feel let down and disappointed by the lack of response from your team. It is disheartening to see a game that I once enjoyed and recommended to others fall into disarray and neglect.
I hope that in the future, EA can do better by its customers and provide the necessary support and attention to the products that they sell. Until then, I can only hope that others will not make the same mistake of investing time and money into a game that is ultimately unsupported and neglected.
@Gallimimus1I just want to know what is even going on at Popcap at this rate even if the message is "we're screwed".
With all the info around 3's sunset the community is rapidly losing hope and just waiting for the death blow at this point.
I really don't see why they can't just reenable the programming code for the achievements/modes as they already exist in the game.
It's even more bizarre why they haven't yet since pvz heroes of all things finally got new seasons programmed after a period of silence.
I'm not asking for gw2 to receive updates or anything outrageous just to properly use what is already there to create a more sound and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Nothing much has changed in the past couple of years now. The lack of any updates and communication from EA and PopCap regarding the shooter series is hurting their games. Lots of players still play the shooter series (including GW2) so the developers and EA should captalise on this while they still can. I heard that Plants vs Zombies 3 might have been cancelled as well, I have no idea what this would mean for the franchise as a whole though.
The reason I still post after all this time is that I love PvZ. So many other shooters like this are gone (I still miss Gigantic, flaws and all) and I will never play any OW game again, and while I do like TF2 and Paladins, they have their own issues. And while I enjoyed all 3 PvZ shooters and want to see GW2 (which is the most popular of 3 by any measure I've seen) get that minimum of support I feel it needs since there is still no word on a GW3, which is what I'd love to see.
I may sound like a broken record, but the audience is there, the need is there, and a lot of us just want a GW game with solid support, it doesn't need a brand new engine or anything crazy; combining the best aspects of all 3 current shooters while fixing issues (like netcode and hackers), and a lot of us would be ready to play that game. In the interim, GW2 needs active support on at least a minimal level.
Still heard nothing from EA or its reps.
When a game is being sold and people are being charged for it, it is necessary to ensure that the game is playable. Whether or not the game developers have abandoned it, if EA is still selling it, they have a responsibility to support it.
As a paying customer, I believe it is a moral obligation for EA to provide this support. I paid for the game, so I expect to receive what I paid for. However, EA is currently failing to fulfill this obligation.
Even if the game is old, it does not excuse EA from providing support for it, especially when they are still selling it. If EA wishes to continue to profit from this game, they must take responsibility for ensuring that it is playable and provide support.
EA, I urge you to respond
